I don’t post much about Meijer because, frankly, I don’t shop there often. I’ve hit them up when I could get a few cases of pancake mix for free or a year’s worth of olive oil for the same price. And who could forget the zillion tubs of Best Life buttery spread in my freezers? But it’s too far a drive (let’s not forget tolls) for a temporary price cut deal where rain checks will not be issued because it’s a temporary price cut. To me, this means that Meijer is under no obligation to either have sufficient stock or allow you to return at a future date to get the sale price. Well, that’s how I see it, anyway.
Having put out all the negatives, I do recommend signing up for the mPerks program. You register your cell phone number and receive discounts and coupons at checkout in addition to any other discounts you are already receiving. They have a $5 coupon in there just for signing up, which means you’ve just gotten a much sweeter deal on your order. So whether you shop Meijer all the time or rarely, it’s a good thing to have justincase.
