The wi-fi here in the mountains basically sucks donkey balls – almost dial up. Seven minutes to open a few tabs and post ONE item. So, will call for my newly engine-sealed car and head off into the sunrise within the hour. Which is probably how long it would take for a few more posts…

NYC is just a few hours away, so will post and tweet much more as things get more lucid and the caffeine kicks in.

One interesting thing is that Wyndham Rewards (loyalty program) has this motel plastered with posters and full-size cardboard cut-outs of this bearded and mustached guy in a suit waving a wand. No idea who he was and frankly, he looked a little creepy – – imagine the Burger King guy on Atkins. Reading outside yesterday afternoon when two guys get out of their car, one carrying the same cut-out about 12 inches tall. Little too old to be playing with paper dolls, but not my business. Turns out they work for Wyndham and Beard Guy is a (the?) wizard on Game of Thrones. Since I have no interest in this show, have never watched it and only see pictures of the women on every friggin’ magazine cover, I was surprised. So having a spokesperson from a show with themes of incest, murder, rape, blood, gore and veins in the teeth is considered a good fit for a family motel. If you are the Manson family.

And don’t say Wizard Out to someone who has never seen the show – – you just sound insane. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
