Stopped in at Jewel for a few Irish Spring deodorants and some pickles for PITA. Pickles were $2.19, so .69 a jar after the doubler coupons. I don’t know where I got the idea they were $1.69…but life will go on paying .50 more. So basically, I paid a buck because I had a $1 Lean Cuisine cat that PITA found.
While there, I found out that the Lisle Jewel had decided to put a stack of the ads with the doubler coupons over by the door for people to help themselves. They had originally been kept behind the customer service counter and handed out pretty liberally. Beth also emailed me that the Jewel Facebook site has 3 doubler coupons on a page that can be printed twice (this link goes right to the print site). If you’re nowhere near the Lisle Jewel and your local Jewel either never got the ads or they’re miserly about giving them out, print your six coupons (per computer).
LOL — the Vlasic is on the buy 10 sale at $1.69. Gotta buy more, more, more!
Well, no wonder. By the time you find five other things to buy, you’ve used all the potential savings!
Chris, did Lisle let you do more than 1 trans. or did they limit you to 1 for your trip (and you had someone else with you). Just wondering, I’d like to do 2 trans. tomorrow, but don’t want to piss anyone off.
I didn’t even think about that. I was with PITA first time and my DH the second, so four potentials. If you want to play fair, buy the first order, then put it in your car and run another one…or more. Use different cards, too (I like to use Dominicks and Pathmark cards at SCOT), just ’cause I’m paranoid.
I should’ve grown some balls and tried to do more than on tranny. I just figured it was useless since the Jewels up here in no man’s land ONLY have like 2 cashiers working at a time. Maybe I will try today…we’ll see!
