Ran another trip to Jewel to pick up more pop (actually, it was a friend who wanted me to accompany her – thought they might limit her on the soda). I only picked up 5 (she got 10) but grabbed those insanely expensive tortilla chips for PITA Daddy ($4.99!) and a few more of the clearance steaks and a “this store only” $1.99/lb deal on pork loin. Between this trip and the one earlier today I’m out about $48…so I’ll save the receipts and return tomorrow with 16 $3 RRs from Wags. thank you all
My Jewel blew through about 1200 of the 2L soda today – when we left they had maybe 30 remaining. Told you my store director and her co-directors rock… Don’t forget that the Igloo freezer deal starts tomorrow morning. If you’re buying one and using a significant amount of the free coupons, make sure to leave plenty of time to check out. The price for every free coupon has to be manually entered…
does anyone know if people are going to be lined up in front of the jewels’ tomorrow or what? I am sending DH out but we are afraid there will be people lined up in front of the doors for the freezer deal!
One thing you all have to remember (or know) is that the coupon envelopes SHOULD be locked in the Coop, which is the bottom drawer of the safe and which automatically locks between the hours of (in the case of my Jewel) 6 pm and 6 am. No one, not the cs director, the asst. store mgrs, even the Store Director can open the thing. So even if they could sell a freezer, you wouldn’t get any coupons until that drawer was open.
Even if your store sells out (and that is, imo, unlikely), there are a quadzillion Jewel stores around, so your store could call on your behalf. Or you could call yourself. Really, don’t worry.

I checked two stores…my awesome all knowing store on Naragansett and Diversey…they know what’s up. Then I went to the Irving Park and Cicero store and they didn’t have any answers about times etc.,and were speaking in grocery store speak…about codes and other scary stuff…they shrugged me off those ass cakes! Anyhow, going to get mine at 7am…good luck!
DH went out and got ours at 6 a.m…he said there were only 5 people in the parking lot….very nice looking unit I might add…if DH doesn’t behave I may have to stick him in it! 🙂 muhahahahaha!
