If you’ve been holding off on the StarKist $5.03 coupon because you didn’t think you’d be able to use it, I just picked up three of the pouches that are part of the 88¢ Jewel deal, together with six Cheerios (to get over 8 total) and added a pack of noodles for the little bit of overage. You will need a manager override on this coupon, because not only is it over $5, but it’s not coded for any particular product in the line, just StarKist. No issues, just so you’re aware. My OOP was 27¢ using the $1/2 GM coupons and one JFU digital, which actually came off as intended…which always surprises me 🙂
Something to look for in the J4U; $2/1 Sara Lee BRIOCHE ONLY. Last week I got a loaf for 99c with J4U and now this week it’s on sale even lower for $2.50. 50c for a loaf of fancy bread is awesome….and it’s good!
Both mine and husbands have the $2 J4U and so did the produce guy I was talking to yesterday. Check your apps to see?
boo, i got $1.79 Sara Lee cheesecake slices and $4.04 for bakery turnovers. of course there’s always room for cheesecake, i suppose
the $1.79 cheesecake is just part of the sale ad.
$2.52 cinnamon rolls here, for personalized price.
i recently had my second $4.05 offer for 4-count muffins, but was again unable to use it. see, i like to buy short-dated bakery items with the big discount stickers on them. but for whatever reason, the employees forgot to put them on the same-dated and tomorrow-dated packages this time around. i do hope it gets offered to me again eventually.
Personalized Price + short-dated stickies = heck of a combo discount. sales also are in theory, but inventory tends to move faster, and any stickers that do make it on during sales tend to have smaller discounts. P.P. is like a small stealth sale, so enables the best of both worlds.
Employees get lazy and don’t check and sometimes their managers don’t want to mark down on the off-chance they’ll miss a few bucks (these aren’t guesses, btw). For quite some time meat was only dropping 30%; they’d run out of 50% stickers, didn’t order more and then the warehouse was out. Food pantry got lots of grass-fed beef those weeks!
blargh, i suspected there’d be a better sale before that coupon expiration! but since there was nothing advertised for this week (nor was the $2.99), and i needed bread, i bit the bullet and bought it at $2.99 on Tuesday.
it is good, anyway. don’t think i’ve had brioche before. reminds me a little of pound cake, something i haven’t had in ages.
