Jewel shopping…or was it Dominicks???

Bread, water and pizza – the shelves are all bare at my little Jewel!

But I was able to find a “few” deals…

The clearance cart was full of the Betty Crocker Pumpkin Bar pouches for 25¢ each – use the .75/2 coupon in the 12/15S, which gives you 25¢ overage on each set of two.  These are mostly going to the food pantry ’cause I kinda got a lot… The Pillsbury gingerbread cookie chub – value size – was only $1.  Use the $1 coupons in 12/8 S2 and 12/15 S for free cookies (or donate ’em).  Cinnamon imperials were 25¢.  Candy cane Tootsie Roll Pops were 50¢; we opened a bag to try ’em and they passed the PITA test.  EXTRA Root Beer Float dessert gum was 98¢ for the 3 pk – no current coupons, but I can hope for some in the next 60 days.  CC pizzas shelves were wiped out, but we found two; they’re on sale for $3.99 and the new Big Book of Savings has 50¢ coupons on the front page.

The Buddig Deli Cuts are also in the Big Book of Savings, showing BOGO through 1/28 with a single item price of $2.49.  Normally this would mean 2/$2.49, but they are ringing up at $4.99 (and the $2/2 coupon from 12/8S is ringing up as a buck!).  Since corporate has not issued any “We apologize…” printing errors to the store, they adjusted the price to $2.49 and I used the $2/2 coupon for 49¢ a pound lunch meat.  I will be the first to say that this is definitely a ymmv situation.

And this concludes my shopping day – got my free ream of paper at Staples, visited a closed library parking lot and then Jewel.
