I’d read Monday about the double-dip cats printing on the GM cereal deal: buy 4 boxes of specially-marked cereals and receive two $2 cats plus a free milk cat, so naturally, I had to check the stockpile in the basement to see what we might need. Turns out we are rather low on cereal, so ran over to run this a few times and see if they had any more of the Snackwell breakfast bars. Zippo, zilch, nada on the SnackWells – shelves cleared even with all the extra they ordered. I’ll check tomorrow, although I’ve picked up about 60 boxes already (FIRSTBORN eats lots of these for breakfast).
We’re looking at 16 boxes of cereal, a dozen jumbo eggs (PITA-found cat) and two gallons of milk (saving the other cats for later). Each set of four cereals will come up to $4.04, which ain’t too shabby, when you consider the milk cat alone is worth $4.50.
can you do these all in one transaction and get all the cats for them? i did this yesterday for 12 boxes, but was too scared and did separate transactions. also got 6 bags of tyson tenders and fun nuggets, thanks for that coupon!
I’m a chicken shit, too, when it comes to this type of Buy X number deal: I ran this in sets of four. On the positive side, it goes a hell of a lot faster than the Scott deal! I’ll go back today to pick up a few more of the SnackWell bars, which are being delivered by the vendor this morning. Every time I think I’ve got waaay too many of something – bam! we run out. With expiration dates well into next year, I think we’ll do fine.
I LOVE the Tyson fun nuggets! We like Hidden Valley Spicy Ranch dressing as a dipping sauce, although you could use any of the ranch permutations on the market (and probably in my basement).
