Okay, apparently I was the only person on the planet who did not know kids LUV totino’s pizza rolls. Ran back there for two transactions of ten boxes each. I used the two lousy bucks worth of coupons to get the total down to $8, but instead of rolling the $5 cat from the prior transaction, I used two $3.50 RRs from the Cottonelle deal (expiring 8/14) and paid $1.18. Not thrilled, but not desperately unhappy either.
and i do not believe these boxes will ever meet their 12/2011 expiration date
Wait, you used RRs at Jewel? Last time I tried they told me they no longer accept RRs. Which BTW I had no idea were manufacturer coupons, which means when I tried to use like 5 of them at Walgreens on 3 items, they told me no.
Wait, are you the same Justin who already knew 90% of the Super Couponing DVD? RRs are manufacture coupons, which means Jewel will accept them, no matter what wording they carry (some of the newer ones show up with “Use only at Wags” on them). Wags coupons are tied to individual items: one coupon per one item. If you use the same family coupon (Crest to Crest) you will not generate another RR. At Jewel, you can use as many RRs as you have a subtotal to bring down. That’s why I was using the 8/14 RRs so I wouldn’t get stuck with them. I’ve extended those cats by almost two weeks now.
Next time you want to use a bunch of RRs at Wags, make sure you have a low cost filler item(s) to throw in. That’s why we all take stuff like tissue packs or pencils or clearance food.
I picked up 10 of them and my 17 year old DS asked me why I didn’t get more! P.S. I love reading about your shopping runs!
Only thing I didn’t know what RR were the same as manufacturer coupons. I thought there were like a more accepted version of ExtraCare Bucks. I do remember now it said “Use only at Walgreens” on it, and the cashier pointed that out, and told me Jewel no longer accepts them. So I should tell them it’s a manufacturer coupon, despite the wording, and that they do take them? And can I use them anywhere manufacturer coupons are accepted then?
Justin, I’ve posted here sections of the Jewel coupon policy that details what they will and won’t accept. In this case, their wording specifically says they take coupons that have other stores wording on them “if it says manufacturer coupon” on it. Do a search and find the post. Maybe you should tell me the name of that cashier and I could go fix her little red wagon. Danada, right?
