If I hear “there’s no pop” within the next 6 months, there’s gonna be some serious damage! Been grabbing the Natural Orville and pretending I’m only a dabbler and not a full-blown popcorn whore. One transaction included veggies and cage-free eggs and I had to actually put out $$. Don’t know if the cashier or I was more astonished.

That’s pretty much all I’ve been buying! I will say that the system’s been glitchy as heck – even cashiers can’t figure out why one transaction of four gets a $1 OYNO, while the 2nd exact same one gets nothing (once I only got a .50 cat). So the cat that reads Thank You from Dr. Pepper/7Up shouldn’t include Dr. Pepper? hmmm
We just got curbside service at our Meijer’s! And I know you hate Meijer’s, but I received an mPerks for a FREE curbside pick up! So… I also grabbed enough 2 liters soda for the next six months ($1 sale, plus buy 10, get 11th Free) and a few 40 pound bags of cat litter. I kind of hope it rains just so I could sit in my car and laugh while they load it! Life is good!
I sometimes think the baggers at Jewel are just dicking with me when they ask if I want help out to my car and I’ve got maybe a dozen eggs and a loaf of bread in my cart. Like maybe they have a Customer Suicide Pool or something they bet on.
HA! Exactly! The ‘curbside service’ new at our Meijer’s is where you order your stuff online, drive to the separated entrance and push a button and they bring all your stuff out and load it, run your card and gone! It was soooooooo slick! This could potentially save tons of time for busy folks, or Mom’s with a load of kiddos, whom no one wants in the stores. Very slick! Took me less than 6 minutes to have them load a ‘few sodas’ and a ‘few bags’ of cat litter. It was fabulous!
