Starting today, Jewel has one of their Buy 8 for 88¢ each deals (mix and match) and Skippy peanut butter is part of it. Normally I wouldn’t think much of it, but there were $1/2 peelies on the tops of the regular Creamy jars, so I bought four of those and four of the Natural Super Chunk, which made them 38¢ a jar. Don’t know if we’ll use all of ’em but they make great donation items.

The Dark Side of Couponing
Nice find on the peelies! We actually bought 8 yesterday, 4 regular creamy and 4 regular super chunk and there were NO peelies on any jars that I saw. I did find however 55c/2 printables from their site http://www.peanutbutter.com which makes them 61c each with coupon. I like your deal better and you don’t have to print anything. (or have the cashier mess with getting the bar code to actually scan!) We actually eat a ton of PB and still had some left from that sale last year with the peelies that made them 24c a jar.
Curious, what’s the best by date on your creamy jars? Mine say July 25, 2020. I checked mine to see if there WERE peelies that someone got to before I did! I may go back and check some more depending on your dates?
Just picked up another 8 jars for MUM and the dates are August, 2020. Seriously doubt there’ll be any left by then 🙂
Thanks! That means your jars with peelies are from a newer batch possibly and I may find some when my store stocks back up some!
