Jewel for cheap organic milk

Why bother with a picture?  Picked up a gallon of Wild Harvest milk on sale for $5.49, along with 15 bottles of Wet n Wild nail polish.  Paid with the $5/$20 Wags store cat and 15 $1 W&W coupons.  OOP was $1.43, most of which was high tax on the nail polish.  I have no need for the polish (expiration on coupon is tomorrow), but it will make a very nice donation item.  I stopped at Walgreens, bought a .19 ruler and got no cat – no more rulers in my future!

  1. I tried to use the 5/20 at the Jewel’s in Plainfield and the Very rude customer service girl said No, they do not except other store coupons. I asked her to call corporate or look up there own coupon policy she refused, and told me I could come back and talk to a manager Saturday morning.

    • Boy I hate this sort of thing. That’s why I posted that link to the Jewel Facebook page where they specifically said they would honor the Walgreens $5/$20 store cats. I hope your coupon hasn’t expired, but if it has I would really be pissed-off when I spoke with the store manager. And print out the Facebook page justincase.

    • Oh shoot..I was thinking of trying the Plainfield store…but do know they are not the coupon friendliest. Geez..tell them you will go across the street to Meijer! But actually, I think the Goddess’ idea is best–mention it on Facebook– that usually gets a response very quick, and stores do not like to be singled out for not following the policy on a social media site. Let us know how it goes, cuz I am always driving by that store!!

        • Oh..wait! You did post…right. It was actually the Joliet store on 59 and Caton Farm? Was that you? Good for you. We need to get these stores in this area on board. There is another store further into Joliet by where I work that DOES now know that they take them. They made a copy of the coupon and are posting it for their employees to see.
