Picked up a ton of dog food on the clearance rack – mostly Iams for $6 a 17.5 lb. bag! There’s a $1 coupon off Iams dry food in the May P&G insert which comes out this Sunday, so my $100 bill is gonna drop considerably!
While there I did a fast walk through, checking what would make for the best deals for the double coupon event starting Sunday. Here’s what I’ve come up with so far (Lisle will be bringing in large quantities of these items, but if you want to place a special, call 630/964-5166).
1. Palermo’s Hand Tossed Pizzas are BOGO at $8.49. Use the $1 coupon from either the 3/25 s or the IP on coupons.com. $2.25 for a large pizza. Note: The $1 insert coupon also scans without beeping (old registers) on the Classic pizzas which are on sale 5/$10. This would make them free, but they’re smaller, the quality just isn’t there (okay? they suck) and it’s the wrong item for the coupon. If you get caught your reputation will suffer, ’cause it’s not likely you just made a mistake.
2. Johnsonville chicken sausages are $3.49, but part of the Fav 4, so the price drops to $3 when you buy the four. Use the $1 coupon from 3/25 s for $1 a pack sausages. There will also be a $1 coupon in the 4/29 s. These sound very tasty – definitely will be picking these up to freeze!
3, Almond Accents are normally $3.99, but on sale for $2.50. Use the $1 coupon in the 4/22 s for 50¢ bags of almonds. These suckers are great – all flavors!
4. Finesse shampoo and conditioners are on sale 2/$4 and there’s a $1 coupon in 4/22 s for FREE shampoo and/or conditioner.
5. Frigo string cheese is on sale BOGO for $4.99. Use the 55¢ coupon from 1/29 s for cheap string cheese. Note: This coupon expires 4/30, so you only have two days to use it.
6. GM Cereal is part of the Buy 5 get $5 OYNO and 20 bonus box tops. They’re also on sale 2/$5. Click the find a coupon tab on the top of the page and search for Cheerios. You will see a 75¢ coupon for the PB multigrain Cheerios. Print five out (find three computers, dammit!) and your cereal is FREE after the OYNO. Been a while since we had free cereal. If you can’t print more than two, use the $1/3 coupon from 4/22 s. Not free, but pretty cheap. Sale is only on Honey Nut Crunch, Peanut Butter Muli-grain Cheerios, Cocoa Puff and Lucky Charms.
7. The small bottle of Tabasco is on a price drop to $1.59. Use the 60¢ coupon from 3/25 s for some very, very cheap Tabasco.
8. Marzetti Simply Dressed is on sale for $2.50. Use the $1 coupon from 3/4 s for cheap dressing. Note: This coupon expires 4/29, so only valid on Sunday.
9. ALL laundry detergent is on sale $3.99. Use the $1 coupon from 4/01 rp paired with the Buy All get Free Snuggle coupon from this week’s sales ad. Pay $1.99 for both!
10. Di Lusso Beef is $4.79 a half pound and the Di Lusso Swiss cheese is $8.58 a pound. Use the $1 coupon per 1/2 pound from 4/22 s for half/price lunch meat. and who’s ever heard of that before?

Goddess, out here in CA we have Think Thin bars priced at $1.25 each [4 for $5] and there is a pdf IP $1 which when you pair with a doubler gives you 75 cents overage. I did the All/Snuggle deal last night with a Think Thin protein bar and used 2 doublers. Paid $1.24 + that nasty hi tax in CA 62 cents so out the door $1.86 for All Snuggle and one of these bars. If you can use more than 2 doublers you can reduce your bill even more! In CA they are 2/transaction altho some stores/cashiers will let you do more…..

Jewel has these bars currently on sale through today for $1.79 (they’re in the natural/organic foods aisle in Jewel, not Osco). Starting tomorrow they go back up to $1.99, so free after pdf coupon and doubler. While the coupon didn’t scan (probably my printer’s fault), when the cashier typed in the UPC, it worked beautifully. Thanks for the link. Grab it now, folks, before it disappears.
