Stopped at the Lisle Jewel to redeem the last two $1 coupons on the Crest receipt – as I originally posted I have now brought my OOP down to .15 plus tax.  woot!

While there I spotted the clearance rack and naturally had to check it out.  While every Jewel has a different assortment of clearance items, it’s usually a great place to find interesting “things,” especially since you can return within 60 days with any coupons.  In this instance, I saw box upon box of Pumpkin Spice Green Mountain k-cups for $3:  The same size box and brand that is on sale for $7.99.  While I don’t use these, Rachel’s husband does and it is an excellent price…so I took all six.

Update on Trib deal:

Apparently Mark has TWO sheets with breakdowns:  “deal” rate for MUM and deranged.me readers, which includes the $10 gift card and a Non-Deal rate which uses the $5 gift card. I apologize to everyone because I did not see this.

But .23 a week for 13 weeks of the Trib is still an excellent price.  Be sure to keep an eye on the end date, because the Trib will try to gouge you at renewal time.

While there I saw my favorite Trib subscription guy, Mark Goodman, offering that incredible deal for “new” subscribers (remember Fido and Fluffy in apartments A & B):  .22 for Sunday only delivery or .23 for Wed, Thur. Fri. and Sunday delivery.  Obviously, if you are new to couponing (and how the heck did you find this site?), then the .23 deal is much better because you need the Wednesday paper’s sale ads.  Call Mark at 630/479-8277 (cell) any time.  You automatically get a $5 Jewel gift card, but if you mention reading this post on deranged.me he will give through in a second card for free.   Call him and find out what his schedule will be – you can either sign up in person (in which case you get the cards immediately) or over the phone (and then you have the option of having the cards mailed or left with Customer Service at the Jewel he’s at when you call.
