I show Walgreens the love

While this is mostly Wags, the Pringles came from CVS (free from the magic coupon machine) and the three puny cans of fish food were from PetSupplies Plus – they only get three in at one time…the CVS of the petcare world.

As I said, this is mostly a Walgreens haul:  used up the last 25 coupons on the Seattle’s Best coffee; wiped out Wheaton’s supply of the Noxema bikini razors; cleared out the Cortaid from Lisle and two from Wheaton (lots more folks!).  Do I need all this Cortaid?  Hell no, but the last week or two have been real slow on the Wags front and I believe in supporting our stores as much as possible.  Since the Cortaid is low tax, wipe out Wheaton and Montgomery just to keep their sales numbers up.

One thing to keep your eyes open for is the Gillette Shave to Shower Gift Set from Father’s Day.  It’s down to $3.74! which works out really, really nice with that $4 Proglide razor coupon.  just sayin Total OOP at Lisle was .52 and .26 at Wheaton.

    • Sorry, the Noxema ones were $2/1 in the 5/1 RP; they expire today. The Cortaid is from 5/15 RP, a $3/1, which, since both items are BOG, means zero (well tax, of course)

  1. I shopped at Wheaton Wags this morning, and got 2 Cortaids, 8 Sesame Street Band-aids, and 3 Nestle Crunch bars for $5.36. These have been slow weeks at Wags, but I’m hoping for better things in the future. Yesterday, I picked up 8 Reach toothbrushes at Wheaton Wags. There were none on the shelf, but I asked Rich, and he procured 4 2-packs from the back for me.

I picked up 4 Fresca 12-packs at Jewel today. They rang up 4 for $8, and I used two $2 off coupons from the Summer of Savings booklet (coupon expires today!!). Four 12-packs for $4.66 including tax?! Sign me up! Supposedly the Minute Maid 12 packs are generating a $3 CAT, but Fresca didn’t. My cashier was amazed at how little I paid.

    • Keep checking; this is a very sweet deal because you are getting not only the stuff for free ($4/1 Gillette 6/5 PG), but you are paying high tax on the clearance price, much lower than the usual items.

I tried giving it to my husband as a going away present – but he’s still here…

  2. You can give the cortaid to MUM…she says on her blog she only got one and apparently the skeeters are chewing up her two little cuties!

  3. Just went to Wags on Rte. 59 & North Aurora Rd. in Naperville….I found 2 Cortaids. When I went to purchase them along with some other stuff, of course the 2nd Cortaid coupon beeped. I told the cashier to adjust it down 2 cents and it would work fine. Instead she decided that I was not allowed to use the second coupon because the coupons says “one per purchase”. I explained to her that each Cortaid was a purchase. She said no. I asked her to call the manager. The manager agreed with the dumb bitch and said I can’t use 2 of the same coupons!
