home again, home again, jiggity jig

This picture and the next are only a part of today’s haul, which includes more organic produce from Sysco, over five pounds of sharp cheddar cheese spread, an 8 lb bag of Parmesan shreds, TWO quarts of moonshine that DH will fall over for (he’s been buying this at Binny’s!), loaves of Turano Asiago bread, goat cheese, bags of croissants and pan au chocolat (among many, many other items).  The Sysco people basically said go to it – – and I did, grabbing lots of Romaine hearts and loose leaf to go with all the other things.  I think I’ll make a very light supper of the Turano baguettes with the muffalata (Italian-style muffaletta) and a sprinkling of cheese.  Brought home a few gyros for FirstBorn.  Cuban coffee was very tasty; strong but no bitter aftertaste.

This product is another out of Florida, so if you see it, grab a bag. The pancakes were super fluffy. I have a bag, so we’ll see just how much is the mix and how much is the electric griddle!

photo 3.JPG This product is Del Campo Dulce de Leche, but from Argentina, Dulce’s original home (so they claim). It’s much smoother than the Mexican variety, tasting like melted caramel with a great aftertaste. They got into Florida Walmarts as a test less than six months ago and say they’re doing really well, so look for them – eventually – up in the Midwest. If you’re in the Florida area, you are definitely in luck. They make about four varieties, including a chocolate one and a hazelnut spread. FirstBorn said the chocolate tasted like liquid fudge…which would certainly work for me!

photo 2.JPGThis is the Stu’s Doctor’s Bag pack that you can use to make your own bloody mary prepared just as you like it (has its own handles and everything)!  It has pickles, etc. and really was very, very tasty, even without the booze!

photo.JPG Coke used holographic glasses at their display – no paper cups for them!  Different ones for the first three days, but today’s was the same as yesterday… we found their distributor on another level and got some super, super cool ones that Coke hadn’t offered (more than pictured)! They’re dishwasher-safe, too!

photo.JPG New company, think they’re now at Whole Foods.  Sad to say, but they beat the pants off Wholly Guac (which has gone downhill over the past year, wouldn’t you agree?): I love how you can get the poblano, jalapeno or classic varieties which makes it even easier to be a lazy, fat butt.

  1. My husband went on Monday for work and tried to talk me into skipping work On Tuesday and going with him. His main selling point is we’d get more free food at the NRA show than I would working at a carpet shop. lol
