Well, the mail carriers got nothing on me! I survived an incredible downpour, a wrong-turn into Newark (shudder), a passenger van completely engulfed in flames on the NJ Turnpike (the only way into the Lincoln Tunnel) and traffic through the theater district. You know, this trip is turning more and more into the Truman Show, now that I think about it…
But this is a seriously nice room. It’s a large corner room with work desk & chair (the desk lamp has two outlets built in!), which means I have windows on two walls (one a bay window)! The bathroom is stocked with some fancy-schmancy soap, shampoo and conditioner and something else.. It’s actually on the route of the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade.
BlogHer’12 doesn’t start until tomorrow afternoon, but that didn’t stop about 45 gazillion women from sucking down liquid refreshments in the bar! I might have exaggerated those number slightly – but they’re LOUD! Luckily this room is high enough up (and has very good windows) that we won’t be bothered by either traffic or people.

I just want to know how much you are paying for parking while you are there. I have an idea of the hotel room rates in Manhatten. I couldn’t imagine parking a vehicle there. In Chicago it’s $50 a night.
Oh come on now! This is the cheapie site, remember? I bought that ICON parking Groupon a few weeks ago for day passes or monthly pass to any of their 128 NYC locations. Cost? Daily pass was just $16 per day with all taxes included! Parking at the Hilton is $51 and they both convey no in/out privileges. The ICON parking lots (two of them) are right across the street from the Hilton. So the six day passes cost me less than two days at the Hilton. And the Hilton had BlogHer rates of $229 per night (such a deal!).
