Wasn’t sure the price would still be 88¢ next week (signs can always be removed), so I decided to make another Skippy food pantry run. And found a couple of these grass-fed steaks with 50% off stickers, $2 peelies AND a $1 Ibotta rebate (limit 5 per receipt). Made them $1.50 each!
If you’re not finding Skippy at your store in the usual location, check seasonal since that’s where they had moved mine from the end cap. Lots left.
New ad shows the 88c sale is going on thru next week, but only on certain items. The Skippy is not listed. Neither are the Friendly’s sundae cups or the cantaloupe. They may still be included (produce guy and I had discussion about tags being pulled like you said?) So we got 6 more jars of PB today. They were almost out of peelies, as I had to dig deep to find any, and there was not another display other than the end cap near regular shelf of PB in Bourbonnais.
I also was late to the Pre steak party! The meat lady was talking to another customer about pulling the sirloin steaks this morning since they were out of date. You lucked out on those!
One store started pulling cheese THE DAY BEFORE – said it was corporate policy, which I knew was a lie – when I went to ask about discount (would have bought all). I think the next date on Pre is 8/02 from what I’ve seen, so ask about a discount if it’s the day before and hope Ibotta is still up there and there are still peelies in the world. I stopped last night and picked up 8 more Skippy when I realized I had only picked up a few for ME 🙂
