GM Catalina

While I love the thought of free vegetables, I HAVE NO MORE FREEZER SPACE!  Even I can’t justify buying another freezer solely for deals.  I ran to Jewel to:  1) bring in my prior receipts from Con-Agra with coupons to get my cash! and 2) try the new GM catalina.

Here’s my loot:  13 boxes of various Green Giant veggies, nice ones, not just corn, peas and carrots.  The deal is buy $25 get back $10.  Since this is working off sale price ($2/each), the 13 boxes ring at $26.  Preferred Card price is $13.  Using a combination of printables and .60/3 from the last couple of GM inserts (9/12 and 10/3) my total was $10.43.  Handed over a $10 Con Agra cat and change and received two $2 cats from GM.  Got one more pot stamp.

If you have no coupons, your OOP will be $3 (using a prior cat, of course).  Use 4 of the insert coupons and you’re at .60 for 13 boxes, which is sweet indeed.  Almost makes up for all the crap we’ve been shoveling down our pieholes the last couple of weeks…

  1. ONLY 13 boxes? Ya only got 13??

DS plays freezer tetris really, really well…he shoved 65 boxes in the big freezer and both fridge freezers. he’s available for hire but ain’t cheap.
Left me enuf room for 24 Totinos pizza rolls this am, hehehe (kept 2 boxes@ the office for me)…. Oh, and 12 sweet moments in the fridge!

  2. Hey, I’ve got a shitload of coupons I’m sitting here clipping! Looks like I have at least 50 inserts so we’re talking 150 boxes of GG veggies alone. Maybe I’ll have a giveaway… I have to start up with the sweet stuff next, but this is a danger, will robinson, area for me lately.

True story: I started eating those brownie, et al, snack cups in bed lately. Obviously after my husband has fallen asleep. Well, the cat knocked a cup over on the comforter. I tried wiping it up with kleenix, but still…..yes it did look bad. My husband gets up this morning and starts yelling that the cats are crapping all over the bed!!! (although if I had cats that crapped pudding I wouldn’t be running to Jewel so frequently). In this case, admitting that I spilled chocolate pudding on the comforter was indeed the lessor of two evils.
