This week at Jewel, you can get free stuff when you add the JFU coupons to your account. Add the two French bread coupons – one for a 99¢ price & one for a buck off – and the $4 off a sheet cake plus 25¢ spinach. I can’t take credit for the bread duo, got that from Rachel. Only the multi-grain loaf will work for the freebie, because it’s 16 oz, not the 14 oz size of the regular bread (I tried both). And you have to buy the $2.99 quarter of caramel apple walnut pie … such a punishment 🙂

The Dark Side of Couponing
I was afraid to try the free pie until it seems others all have had success! I have to use my $2 bakery reward (I get 3 donuts for 37c!) before I attempt the free bread/pie. I already got my 25c spinach the other day, does this factor into the other things being free? Thanks!
Nope, they’re all separate, so the three items cost me 25 cents (spinach), but without spinach it would be free. Pie is very tasty, very tasty 🙂
Well that solved that…our store had no 1/4 pies and when I asked about them…she said she could cut one for me….but there were none of that kind in the store. We must have a small bakery here? Husband was skeptical it would work, but was sure wanting to try it! Will check again next time in. Sure saved me some calories!
They only had the half pies at my store, too, but the clerk was happy to cut it in half and print out a new label for $2.99. Told her it didn’t matter if it got sloppy because I was taking both pieces (PITA & I).
a 3rd iteration of the cake==>pie coupon went active on 8/16. the desired item still shows up under its linkages.
