free Green Giant veggies with coupon

Thanks to Jane for pushing me out the door on this deal 🙂  Both Planters and Green Giant have tear pad coupons, which brings sale prices down … considerably!  My Jewel had zero Planters coupons (indeed, I couldn’t see even a trace on the cardboard display), but Green Giant had a nice, fat tear pad fully loaded stuck to the freezer door.  Coupons work on all veggies, not just the ones listed, because otherwise, we’d all be out of luck, given the low inventory on the riced line.  $1 coupons on $1 sale items mean you pay low food tax.  Wow, and to think this sort of deal used to be common.

  1. Nice catch on the Brussels sprouts! I’d rather have those actually. I’m getting sick of the riced ones. I will grab some more of the other kinds next trip over, thanks!
Oh…I checked my receipt and the Planters $1.50 price comes off as: for U store cpn, and yet she had to manually enter in the paper coupon as for U store cpn. as well. That one should have scanned in fine since it is a manuf. cpn.

    • The trouble with these GG veggies is the freezer space they consume, which means I have to nuke immediately and store in containers in the fridge. Well, I guess I shouldn’t really be complaining about free veggies, right?

  2. Take them out of their boxes. They store very neat and compact like that in the freezer! I can wedge them in anywhere in my small side by side freezer….even on the door!

    • hahahaha, we’re long past the remove from boxes part of freezer Tetris. It doesn’t help that FirstBorn lives on frozen pizza and buys up to 7 at a time. At least Mr. Moneybags earns rewards for me.
