Pretty much my first stop in unfamiliar Walgreens (well, after the FARR items check!) is the clearance end cap(s). Every once in a while I’ll encounter a store that puts the clearance in with the regular shelf items, which seems rather a good way to queer sales on both sides of that equation – but I digress.

Chia life jars are shown on that 33% off items page in this week’s Walgreen’s ad – another is the pouches of flaxseed. These Chias were marked $10.99, already 50% off. I asked the asst mgr if they could be adjusted; she said no problem so each dropped to $7.25. Chia and flax are great for adding crunchy, nutty tastes when you’re baking.  Yeah, marketing claims they’re a miracle, but deep-fried snickers in chia batter does not make them superfoods …

Oh, the Axe was $2.49 and I had coupons with me…hehehehe
