The Spend $10 on frozen foods get back $5 OYNO promotion is running through the end of the month and this week’s ad has a real sweet match up: The Stouffer’s Farmer Harvest bags are on sale 4/$10, so right there you’re getting the $5 back, making these only $1.25 each, right? Not good enough. Use the $1 coupon from the 3/18 S and you’re actually paying 25¢ for each bag – definitely a stock up price, as far as I’m concerned. Note that you cannot stack these in multiples of four – do separate transactions. Besides, why would you want to put out the extra $5 in the first place? Are you secretly millionaires?
Picked up eight more of the Dreamfields pasta, using the same mfr coupons as an earlier post. Eggs were clearanced out at 50% off $2.59 an 18 ct carton.
On the way over I stopped at Fannie May for more of those mint cookie bars – if these are not a dead-ringer for Thin Mints…

Yes, grocery store catalinas are different than the Walgreens ones – they always roll, which makes for some very nice prices. Rarely will an RR roll at Walgreens and you can bet I’ll post about it if it isn’t caught immediately.
Did you buy any of the Shrimp variety? I am thinking of trying this out tomorrow but had read on Slickdeals that the $5 CAT did not print with the Shrimp Stouffer Harvest bags. Thanks.
Wow, lucky me, then ’cause they didn’t have any shrimp! And the cat didn’t print out the first time, but did the second. CS guy tried to tell me it was because I used coupons and it dropped the price down below $10. Nice try, bucky, now explain transaction no. 2.
At my Dominicks, the cost of the coupon is deducted from the individual product price, so I will not get the $5 cat because my total is under $10. I’m forced to purchase more in order to get the cat.
Where in the ad does it say that the threshold is $10 after coupons? The first guy at customer service tried to sell me that pink-slime bologna but then not only couldn’t point to anything in the ad, but more importantly, couldn’t explain why one transaction triggered the cat and the other didn’t, especially since they were exactly the same items being purchased, no more and no less. Got my $5 cat. This was at the DG store on Ogden. Today I brave Danada – wish me luck.
Bless you for fighting it out with DG. I did this deal and didn’t get my $5 cat either. I swear they have worn me down…I didn’t have any fight left in me for those yahoos! I didn’t argue it, but was running their possible excuses in my head…well there IS meat in these! Then I just figured I’d get hassled when I went back to buy th UNMARKED “new” products. I may venture back there now that I know you’ve done a little “educating” over there. Thanks!
