Went back with coupons and a plan. Always works better with a plan. Ran two transactions, since the $5/15 frozen coupon does not stack. Picked up four of the Coke Classic 20 oz six-packs. They were on supercoupon for $2.49 ($9.96) and I had three Free Soda cats (expired), so .24 a six-pack. The CPK singles were couponless, so pay $15 less the $5 and get back $7.50 in mfr cats. Advil was free using an unexpired coupon. The Gortons was $3.99 so picked up four less the $5 and four .50 coupons from the Dominicks Football booklet ($15.96 – $5 – $2 = 8.96). The big splurge was on the Tony Roma ribs on Friday special for $5 each (normally $10.99). Sometimes I just get tired of THE BOY complaining that there’s not enough meat in the house, you know? So my total OOP was $42.75 and got back $7.50 in cats. Grabbed 12 of those $42 Frozen Foods coupon booklets.
This Western Springs Dominicks is freaky-deaky land. Everyone there was super nice; I must have had at least fifteen people ask if I needed help, would I like for them to show me where things were located. Even one guy carrying a load of boxes asked if I needed help! A row of guys in suits went by, and honest-to-god everyone said Hello, need anything? as they went by. Stepford Management.
So, here’s the way the coupons work until April 1: If the expired scans it’s accepted. CS assured me earlier that 99% of the coupons scan. No RRs, either expired or un-. No expired OYNO coupons, they must be for a specific product or product category (my Free Soda cat).
I hate the customer service lady “Beth” – did you talk to her? She was there this afternoon when I went. Her and I have had several arguments over the months. She just hates her job – she young too – probably like under 30! She has many more years of misery….
No, I spoke with an older woman with white hair. She was very nice and helpful in explaining the coupon policy (through April 1). Can’t be the one you’re talking about.
