Dollar Tree has restocked their Olay single bars, so get two bars for every $2/2 coupon in the March P&G insert – FREE SOAP! Don’t forget that DT’s new coupon policy limits you to four like coupons (like Target), but there are so many DTs around and you have until the end of the month that it’s not that big a problem. Hey, it beats them not taking any coupons at all, right?

The Dark Side of Couponing
The Dollar Tree refused to take the $2 coupon for Olay soap when you buy two. He reduced the coupon to $1,when I said I bought two and I should receive the total $2, he said coupons are reduced. He then went and printed the coupon policy even circled the part that said the $2 should be used, but would not give it to me. He pretty much kicked me out of the store, said fine I guess you don’t want any of this and took it all away from me. He even took the coupon policy out of my hand. I came back about 15 minutes since I needed to cool down, and asked to speak with manager. He claimed he was the shift manager, I asked for his badge, didn’t say manager. I am so calling corporate tomorrow. Did they change there policy?

Manufacturer Coupons
We accept Manufacturer Coupons only. We do not accept retail-specific coupons, such as those of Target, Wal-Mart, etc.
We do not accept photocopies of coupons. Coupons must be intact and not altered or modified in any way.
Coupons can only be used in stores, must be presented at time of purchase, and cannot be redeemed for cash at a later time.
Item purchased must match the coupon description (brand, size, quantity, color, etc.) and be presented prior to the expiration date printed on the coupon.
We accept only one (1) Manufacturer Coupon per single item purchased.
We accept coupons for over a dollar on a single item, but the coupon value will be reduced to the purchase price of the item.
We cannot give cash back if the face value of a coupon is greater than the purchase price of the item.
We accept coupons for over a dollar on multiple items if the coupon amount does not exceed the combined retail price of the items indicated.
We accept up to four (4) like coupons per household per day.
Coupons for free items are only accepted if a purchase is required to get one free (for example, Buy One Get One Free offers).
Any applicable sales tax must be paid by consumer.
We reserve the right to accept, refuse, or limit the use of any coupon.
This policy is subject to all local, state, and federal laws and regulations where applicable.
These guidelines apply to all coupons accepted at Dollar Tree (Manufacturer and Internet Coupons).
Internet Coupons
We accept up to two (2) Internet Coupons per household per day.
Internet Coupons must be a “Manufacturer Coupon”, have a valid expiration date, and must have a valid remit address for the manufacturer.
We do not accept Internet Coupons for “Free” items with no purchase requirements.
Duplicated (photocopies) Internet Coupons will not be accepted. Each Internet Coupon must have a different serial number.

Please tell us which DT location chose to ignore their own coupon policy?
I am so upset–he had me in tears, and humiliated. It was the Dollar Tree on Barrington Road in Streamwood, IL. His name was Jose G., if indeed it was him. I went there this evening around 8:15p.m. This is the one he actually circled.We accept coupons for over a dollar on multiple items if the coupon amount does not exceed the combined retail price of the items indicated.
I think the worse part was how he treated me took the items out of the bag, said I guess you don’t want any of these items. And took the coupon policy out of my hand, and took all the papers from the policy and put it under the register desk.
Seriously? If you DON’T contact corporate tomorrow I’ll come over and humiliate you myself! I don’t see a phone on the contact us page, but you can email them and briefly say how humiliated you were when he refused to accept your insert coupons, took all your items out of the bag, circled the policy regarding multiple items with coupons and claimed he was the manager. and that’s how he interprets the DT policy.
Update–I tried calling corporate 757-321-5000; of course, no answer and mailbox full. I sent an email and left a phone number, we’ll see if they respond.
