Sign up for Dollar General emails to get sale notices and coupons on a regular basis.  They toss out these $5 coupons on a pretty much weekly basis (for Saturday purchases only), but the threshold amounts change (last week was $30).  Honestly?  The things I like best are the men’s and women’s Hanes underwear – 7 pk of men’s briefs are $6.50 and the women’s tanks, tees & v-necks are B1G50% off the regular $6.50 price.  This is a great price to begin with, then subtract that $5 coupon..
