CVS – a very close shave

bad pun…but I just got back from CVS, checking out possible deals for the next couple of weeks.  I noticed that the Proglide razors are $10.99 with a $5 ecb (limit one per card).   So far so good because there was supposed to be a $5 coupon in tomorrow’s P&G.  Well, I now hear that it’s a $5 off a razor when you purchase a cartridge refill which retails for about $17!  So this totally blows any deals, as far as I can see.   You’d pay $17.99 plus $10.99 ($27.99) less the $5…spend $22.99 and get back $5 in ecbs.  Ahhh, no, i don’t think so.

btw, you could pick up those same Gillette Fusion Power Cartridges, 4-Count on Amazon for $13.18 on subscribe & save, and you’d be using your swag money to pay!

If anyone can see a way out here, let us know or if I’m wrong on the coupon wording.

  1. ProGlide is the best razor out there too. I stopped buying them though cuz the best I could find was like $2.75/cartridge, and that’s buying in bulk on eBay. It messes with my mind as I’m telling my GF “Don’t change it yet! We just changed it last week!” It’s nice to have disposables that were free, even though some of them are terrible, like the Walgreen’s brand.
