Cuisinart has issued a voluntary recall for models with the food processor riveted blade shown above.  Loooong list of affected models (including mine), so click and check it out.  They will ship a replacement blade and ask that you stop using your current blade immediately, as they had reports of lacerations from cracking blades. Very easy to check and submit online for the replacement blade (or you could call).

Now that we have your contact information, Cuisinart will send you a free replacement blade. When you receive your replacement blade, use the packing materials that your replacement blade arrived in to safely dispose of your original blade.

Please note that the other portions of the food processor, including the bowl, housing base and motor are not subject to this recall.
