If you’ve had trouble getting your StarKist tuna lawsuit settlement coupon accepted in stores, don’t worry – because StarKist says there are no problems with the coupons and it sees no evidence that there are any widespread issues redeeming them. So try again to use your coupon, because it must be your imagination! Here’s the Coupons in the News article.
You could buy 6 pouches at Jewel this week during the crazy 8 sale, making it $5.24 then add 2 boxes of Cheerios and use the J4U coupon – $5.03 Starkist = 97c plus tax out the door for all 8 items.
Or you could buy 3 pouches @ .88c each = $2.64 add 2 boxes or Cheerios with the $1/2 coupon at 38c each then add in 3 more 88c items for make your total of 8 things, after voucher of $5.03 you’re out the door at $1.01 plus tax!
I wonder how Jewel will handle this one? Allow overage?
You must have sent this while I was shopping Jewel – great minds think alike. You only have to hit the 8 mark one time, everything after that is still .88, so that’s why I bought the 6 Cheerios and noodles for overage. Still allow cart overage but my days of putting it on a Jewel gift card are long gone 🙁
I never knew the 9th item plus is still only 88c! How did you ever find that out? Has it always been this way during a crazy eight sale? I bet others had no idea as well about this little tidbit!
At some point a cashier told me when I was complaining about large purchase requirements, so now I only worry about hitting the first 8. Like the ad that says Limit 4, the register will ring more at the sale price 🙂
*like the “limit 10 pounds” on the boneless, skinless chicken breast on sale for 99c lb. I bought 3 packages that totaled over 12 pounds and they still rang up 99c!
Now you’re catching on! Reminds me of that old song, “It Ain’t Necessarily So.”
