The Census 2020 had a stand at the library today, recruiting those 18 and over to work in various capacities; pay is based on state and county and in DuPage it’s $29.50 an hour and you are paid for mileage and expenses (like tolls).  You get 40 hours of paid training, too.  This is one of those jobs that they pay really well ’cause there’s no guarantee how long the job will last, since it depends on how many people complete their form without prodding.  Evening and weekend work and they’re very flexible.  Especially nice is you know that weekly check will clear 🙂  Some area locations are already open and gearing up.
