Almay shopping @ Walgreens

ada6ab05-02ba-4b6e-babd-9b8edf189343Since Walgreens is having the same B1G1 50% off sale on Almay as Jewel, thought I’d check their prices.  The makeup remover towelettes were, unfortunately, $6.49 instead of the $5.99 other people get, but a road trip wouldn’t make sense!  These eight ran me $6.92 plus tax.  I used the $4 coupons from 4/10 S and had no beeping issues whatsoever.

Wags shopping – 20% off for Seniors Day

a0870fd7-5f19-4285-a154-fd3c3bd541b2

It’s always on non-sale items, which pretty much precludes anyone from shopping at Walgreens, but if you have an AARP card (if you’re under 62) or can corral a senior, use the Poligrip coupon from 4/3 rp for free tubes, since the discount drops the shelf price to below the coupon’s $2.60 value.  And no, they’ve still not fixed the register glitch and CeraVe coupons have to forced.  However, use the new $2 CeraVe products coupon in the April IVC with the $4 or $3 mfr coupons from 3/20 S during the B1G1 50% off sale and you’ll pay considerably less.  considerably…did i say that already?

Free Poligrip denture adhesive

unnamedGod, I hate this name!   Yes, the .75 oz Poligrip is free with the coupon in 4/3 rp (up to $2.60), but the Free in the name refers to no artificial flavors or colors, so you can either use the coupons at Walgreens and pay a bit or at Walmart (it was $1.88). Since it’s low tax, it’s a great donation item for a food pantry.  I’ve never found this size at Target and never checked Meijer.

I CeraVe the light for less

63b40bb9-5a11-4f41-a7ca-70ea9db91be1Wow, after a complete and utter dry spell, both Wags and Jewel are catching fire!  Grab CeraVe this week for less…way less using both the B1G1 50% off sale and the $2 March IVC and either $3 or $4 coupons in 3/20S.  I ran this using six of the any CeraVe products $3 coupon and paid $1.44 plus tax for my six twin-packs of ointment.  Had I used the $4 mfr coupons (or a combination of $3 and $4), I would have probably been completely free.  such is life…

Note that the coupons do not scan, but since the products are shown in the sale ad that states to use the in-store coupons and the coupons, they will push it through.

Oreos for about a dime a box

f54c6b0d-2bcc-413d-8261-0c28e9d0212cGrab two boxes of the Oreos on sale for 99¢ this week at Walgreens, use the .75/2 coupon from 1/17S and submit your receipt to Checkout51 for a buck rebate (you also get 10 loyalty points from Walgreens).  I did it and got the $1 in my account within minutes.  Checkout51 is a program that pays you for shopping at any store (occasionally offers are restricted to certain chains).

15% off sitewide + free shipping @ Walgreens.com

I use this – believe it or not – because the hair brand and color I use is now only available at Walgreens.com so at least I save something (and it’s not too expensive, either).  I’m stocked up for the year...but maybe I should buy more…

Free ColdCalm tablets @ Walgreens

946c5401-2bd2-4a7d-a6fe-6f3ff4b2a6caColdcalm is $7.99 this week at Walgreens (remember them?), but if you use this $5 coupon from Boiron together with this $3 Ibotta rebate, you’ll be paying making a penny!  Wish this was something we could run in multiples.  I’ve linked to the main Boiron page because they have lots of $5 coupons!

What’s Ibotta?  It’s an APP for smart phones that pays you cash for buying stuff you’re buying anyway!  Buy certain products from participating retailers, scan the product UPC and receipt and get cash in your Ibotta account  My confirmation emails usually come within seconds; actually, I scanned the UPC and receipt at the register!
