very cheap blink drops

unnamed (4)

Blinks has a $5 IVC in the Walgreens July coupon booklet, so even though it’s not on sale, stack it with the $3 coupon in 6/18 S for some very cheap eye drops.  In my area (yours may be lower or higher), blink contacts is the lowest at $8.79, so 79¢ a box.

Note:  The IVC is on page 39 because it’s listed as Eye Care Drops!

Walgreens Soft Soap shopping

unnamed (14)

Bought four bonus size Soft Soap in purty smells, used four 50¢ coupons from CVS (coupons attach to items at Walgreens), paid $3.98 plus tax and gained 6,000 bonus points.

Soft Soap money-maker at Walgreens

unnamed (8)

This week Walgreens has multiple deals on Soft Soap, among them B1G1 50% off and extra 3,000 points per pair.  Naturally I wanted the biggest bang for my buck, so chose the 50% bonus size in lavender (also comes in antibacterial)) since they’re all $2.99 each.  I used a 10X coupon that spit out last week and ended up with a subtotal of $5.98 and earned 11,500 loyalty points.

Without the 10X coupon it would have been free. (pay $2.99 and earn 3,000 points).

cheap Neutrogena at Walgreens

unnamed (7)There’s a couple of high-value Neutrogena printables out that combine with the Walgreens June IVC for some really great prices.  Use the $4 Neutrogena Face Products coupon with the $3 IVC or this $2.50 Neutrogena Lip or Eye Product coupon with the $3 IVC.  Pay with points and you get a coupon for 10X points on another visit within a week.

How long had it been since I was at Walgreens – – I had the May IVC booklet in my bag…

make $ on Oreo candy bars

unnamed (7)

Walgreens has the Oreo chocolate candy bars on sale for 69¢ this week, so use the 55¢ coupon in 5/7 S and pay only 14¢ a bar.  But Wait!  Not cheap enough for you?  Grab the Ibotta 50¢ rebate (limit 3) and they’re paying you to take ’em out of the store!  You can do all three on one receipt, but the three limit total remains…I tried it out. What’s Ibotta?  It’s an APP for smart phones that pays you cash for buying stuff you’re buying anyway. Buy certain products from participating retailers, scan the product UPC and your receipt and get cash back in your Ibotta account. I got my $1.50 immediately.

need gum? Last day for Trident

unnamedI’m heading over to Walgreens anyway to pick up a few more Yakisoba noodle packs, so might as well grab some Trident.  Individual packs are 3/$2 and there’s a $1.59 off three single packs coupon, which will bring the cost down to 82¢ for every six.  This is a SmartSource coupon, which usually means you’ll end up pulling your hair out before you finish printing.

Walgreens shopping today

unnamed (7)

Maruchan Yakisoba noodles are 2/$1, so use the $1/3 coupon in 4/23 S for a really cheap base for your noodle dishes.  Scrambled egg plus ginger, peanut butter and coconut milk give a Thai kick to your dinner.

Oxi Clean is $3.99 this week.  Use the $3 coupon in 5/21 S or this $3 printable for cheap laundry detergent.  The hair color was an 88¢ unmarked clearance, so I had to take it, right?  Make sure to scan the 5X bonus points code on the front page since you’ll be spending more than $10 before coupons.

I’m not that clean shopping trip

unnamed (10)

You can either hold onto your CVS Arm & Hammer detergent rainchecks for the rest of your life or toss ’em into recycling and head over to Walgreens which has the same $1.99 sale, but – surprise! – they have inventory!  Buy either packs or liquid detergent and use the $1 coupons in 5/7 SS or this $1 Arm & Hammer liquid coupon or this $1 Arm & Hammer Sensitive Skin liquid detergent coupon or this $1 Arm & Hammer single dose pack coupon or you can buy Xtra for the same $1.99 and use this $1 Xtra detergent coupon.

Walgreens for razors and Kleenex

unnamed (8)

Two transactions.  First was 3 Hydro 5 razors because there is a Schick spend $20 get a $10 RR promotion going on (these were $6.99 each) and since it didn’t work it was nice that it was shown on the shelf tag and in their friggin’ ad…ahem.  Instead of futzing around with a Register Reward, I had the manager add 10,000 points to my account, then turned around and bought the 3 bonus 4-ct boxes of Kleenex for $4.99 less the $1 April IVC coupon less three 75¢ coupons from 3/12 S or this 75¢ Kleenex bundle printable.  Clearance fish oil at $3.99 was a filler, since I give a capsule to my dog every day – – he loves ’em!  if there were fish-flavored gum he’d be blowing bubbles.

Razor transaction was 44¢ after coupons and 10,000 points; Kleenex was $4.83 after coupons and points.
