Drove up to the Ultra at Roosevelt and County Farm Road – very, very nice store (and they didn’t pay me to say that). Unfortunately, they only had a few of the Extra Crunchy Skippy, so I used them as fillers with creamy in the three Degree transactions I ran. First one was only deodorant, so .73, get back $5 cat. Second and third were four Skippy and 6 Degree for an OOP of $4.08; get back $5 cat. I couldn’t use my cat since the totals were all too little. I’ll be hitting up the Lombard store tomorrow with MUM for Skippy-only transactions, so will use them then.
Funny aside: While I was putting the Degree in my cart, an asst mgr looked up from whatever she was doing in the aisle and told me that they had lots more deodorant in back if I wanted it. I asked her if I smelled that bad (but I was smiling when I said it).
Cross the parking lot to Target for Extra gum – yes, this stuff is addicting. Ran two boxes (20 total packs) one time: .50. Decided they had plenty, so threw another two
boxes in the cart and go over to the next register: total was -.33. Yes, that’s right, a negative, which they then handed over to me. Do not understand it and won’t even try. Extremely friendly, happy to see a customer get a bargain, cashiers. Does anybody know if any Targets carry the Key Lime pie? This Target did not (no product, no shelf tag).
