Nothing says friendship like accompanying MUM to Target for the sole purpose of embarrassing her – well, that’s not part of the actual game plan, just how it always works out…
You see here seven boxes of Tazo tea. Yes, it’s crazy high to start with and even after the two stacks we’re at .79 for a 20 bag box, but it’s a high quality product, so why not treat yourself? Isn’t that the whole point of couponing – to save enough for the occasional splurge.
Also picked up 20 packs of Extra Dessert gum. Coupons read Desserts “or any flavor,” so if you’d prefer, say, spearmint, go for it. I got mostly the apple pie flavor which is incredible! Ignore what Rachel has to say about pie-flavored gum…
Gum was free but high tax. Tea was low tax but .79 each. I’ve given up on deciphering Target receipts without a Rosetta Stone.
Do share on how you embarrassed MUM!!! 20 packs of gum and 7 boxes of Tao, could not have done that… cuz she doesn’t KNOW you right???? LOL
It’s kinda easy for me, rather stream of consciousness type conversations while at the register. “You’re paying HOW MUCH for that – I could get it for you cheaper.” “Why are you buying so many cat litters?” MUM: “You are the one always preaching about buying large quantities, so shut up!” But when you have store, mfr and mobile coupons to scan AND idiots behind you who are shopping for crap on their lunch hour, there’s bound to be friction. Luckily they only mumbled comments I didn’t hear (MUM told me later) or they would really have been surprised…and yes, Rachel knows me well…and still tolerates me!
I think that was “Shut your apple pie hole,” actually. (Mr. 8 was very pleased with the mint chocolate chip flavor… so basically, you have the taste buds of an 8 year old boy :P)
and if I had the body of one I could be the next super-model…
I totally love you guys! I might have to go to your neck of the woods someday… this sounds too fun!!! Lunch hour? Really? What kind of gun laws are in IL?
what’s the deal on Tazo? i’d like to get some 😀
Read prior Target post for links, but it’s on temporary price drop to $2.79. Use the $1 mfr coupon stacked with the $1 Target coupon for .79 Tazo. Extremely cheap price.
