Drove up to the Ultra at Roosevelt and County Farm Road – very, very nice store (and they didn’t pay me to say that). Unfortunately, they only had a few of the Extra Crunchy Skippy, so I used them as fillers with creamy in the three Degree transactions I ran. First one was only deodorant, so .73, get back $5 cat. Second and third were four Skippy and 6 Degree for an OOP of $4.08; get back $5 cat. I couldn’t use my cat since the totals were all too little. I’ll be hitting up the Lombard store tomorrow with MUM for Skippy-only transactions, so will use them then.
Funny aside: While I was putting the Degree in my cart, an asst mgr looked up from whatever she was doing in the aisle and told me that they had lots more deodorant in back if I wanted it. I asked her if I smelled that bad (but I was smiling when I said it).
Cross the parking lot to Target for Extra gum – yes, this stuff is addicting. Ran two boxes (20 total packs) one time: .50. Decided they had plenty, so threw another two
boxes in the cart and go over to the next register: total was -.33. Yes, that’s right, a negative, which they then handed over to me. Do not understand it and won’t even try. Extremely friendly, happy to see a customer get a bargain, cashiers. Does anybody know if any Targets carry the Key Lime pie? This Target did not (no product, no shelf tag).
You are buying the individual extra gums, right? I only have a coupon for .50/2 14-15 piece packs, and a coupon for $1/any two 3-packs. Is it possible that different parts of Chicagoland would get different coupons? Still a good deal, but was just wondering.
The only coupon I see in the HCW database is for $1/2 and any flavor Extra single packs. It was in the 9/25 S. While other newspapers even in the same city get different coupons and even different values for the same coupons, HCW always has the coupons listed, one after the other. That’s how I know that Chicago usually get a rock.
Since the Target is the every day price, why don’t you see about buying some coupons from Dede? This gum ROCKS! Only complaint is that the flavor only lasts about one or two slices of pie…
Manager there was not nice. Limit one TQ and MQ per transaction. She doesn’t care even if the TQ or MQ doesn’t state “one per transaction”. Cashier even tried to explain to her but manager doesn’t listen.
This is totally weird! I was there about 3:30-4 pm and everybody was thrilled I got cash back. Are you talking about Target? When you get bullshit like this, pick up that red phone they have and bitch at corporate right on the spot. If you’re stacking the coupons like they say and not using 20 of them (even though I do), they should settle that mgr’s hash.
WTH? This is so weird. I mean it’s completely possible I just lost the q’s you are talking about. I just recently switched over to the “date” method of organizing vs. the “category”. So, I have no idea when and what insert those q’s I have were from. Hell, I don’t even know what the HCW database is and why I have the only random q’s that aren’t listed!!! Anyways..the Dede idea is a good one! But since I (only) have 3 computers at home that makes 6 Tarjay coupons, so not really worth ordering some from Dede. Thanks for your info! I’m off to buy Tazo if there is any left tomorrow! And maybe some .50 gum to check it out!
pssst, Lisa, the coupon in the post is a pdf.
Haha..Missed that completely. THANKS!!!!!!!
