This and that pictures

Picked up these nifty hanging holders at IKEA on Saturday. They’re in the kid’s department and sell for $3.99 in your choice of green/blue or red/orange. Saw these in Rachel’s house months ago and lusted for them ever since. I have three sets attached to the back of the basement door, which, as far as I know, has never been closed, so they’re out of sight.  Since they’re mesh pockets it’s very easy to see what spices, herbs and mixes are available (it’s a pain to slog through all the cabinets and end up grabbing salt/pepper).  The top pockets hold speciality salts, one of them applewood-smoked, so now every time I head downstairs I smell bacon…

And this is that awesome Target Beauty Bag that came in today’s mail. I posted about this on October 2nd, so not that long a wait (checked and the link just goes back to the main page now).  It contained my favorite hair care line in the world: Fekkai. Please hire me for couponing the extreme way so I can afford to buy this stuff.  Beauty Bag also contains a Target store coupon booklet with the following coupons (expiration dates all 12/31/12):

$1 Clear Scalp & Hair Therapy item;
$1 off two Head & Shoulders, Herbal Essences, Pantene and Aussie;
$1 off Jergens skin care item;

$1 off ColverGirl Outlast lipstain;
$1 Maybelline NY face cosmetic item (excludes eye and lip);

Target to price-match online retailers & provide free WI-FI

Heard this on news radio this afternoon:  Target will match online prices between Nov. 1 and Dec. 16.  In stores, customers can show the competitor’s online price for a specific item on their smartphone, or customer service can look it up to confirm, which will be a whole lot easier since Target plans to have FREE WI-FI in all its stores by the holiday season!

The Minneapolis-based company also said it will extend its return period by 30 days on nearly all purchases at Target and Target.com made with its REDcard.

Target already price-matches for customers who bring in a competitor’s ad for a specific product at a lower price within seven days of a purchase. The company will extend that policy Nov. 1 through Dec. 24 and include items on Target.com.

Target beauty bag now available

Target Style’s last beauty bag (so they say) is available through Facebook.  These are always filled with goodies You never know exactly what’s you’ll get, but it’s usually a cute little make-up bag  stuffed with lots of samples.  And it’s free!

Target clearance surprise

Spent most of the day chasing my tail, including this evening’s trip to the SuperTarget on Diehl in Warrenville (see how nice I am to tell you the location so you don’t drive aimlessly around?).  No deal, I did see an clearance endcap with a lot of Gevalia coffee marked $5.94.  By itself that’s no deal, but if you click on the “find a coupon” tab on the top of this page and then search for Gevalia, you’ll see that there is a $1 IP and a $1/2 Target coupon, which brings you down to $4.44 a bag.  This is a very smooth coffee – I picked up about 10 bags last go-round at Jewel, so I know…

Target DD – Belly Bandits?

Okay, let’s all assume I’m totally clueless about these and way too lazy to Google it, but there’s NO item description, just a couple of preggo models in the white version and the black version.  Yes, Couture Belly Bandit Heart Collection is a great sale ($35 from $59.95) but what is their purpose in life?

Target for possible deals

Just reposting things that have appeared within the past day or two.  These are obviously not deals that I’ve done, although they seem good.  ymmv, though.

Get yourself some FREE single roll paper towels or scrubbing sponges with the new $1 up & up cleaning products IP.

FREE 24 ct Ibuprofen at Target when you use the Target $1 off any up & up pain relief IP. The small size boxes are always less than a buck.

Dr. Scholl for Her Heel Liners are under $5.  Use this $3 Target coupon with this Dr. Scholl $3 IP, for FREE heel liners.

Dr. Scholl For Her Ball of Foot cushions are about $5.50, so use the  $3 Target coupon and the Dr. Scholl $3 IP for very cheap cushions.
Totally Target has posted that Zevia is on a price cut to 3/$10 through 9/15.  Print out this $3 IP and score some very cheap zero-calorie natural soda.  If your store doesn’t carry it, check out Whole Foods.

Target tripping

It’s dark and the stuff’s still in the trunk, so my options are to have one or the other item upside-down.  deal with it…

We needed a deal on charcoal desperately:  FirstBorn threatened to pay shelf price!  Current Kingsford promotion at Target is Buy 2 bags of the 16+ pound size for $7.98 and get a $5 Target gift card. Use the $3/2 Target coupon from either 6/24 or 7/29 S.  I bought four bags in two transactions, using the first $5 gift card to pay for the second transaction. End result was $8.54 for two large bags of charcoal.  Card is kinda cool – press the button and the candles light up.  Wonder how many people keep the cards until the battery dies?

Checked on the Clorox clearance while I was there, since Jewel had bragged that they were cheaper than Target.  Holy moly!  Target wanted $1.58 for the bleach that was a buck at Jewel!  My advice is to hit up all the Jewels and Ultras (clearance carts at the Lombard Ultra had the same prices as Jewel).

Target DD – T-FAL 18 pc cook set $60

One of Target’s Daily Deals is this T-FAL Initiative Non-Stick Cook Set 18 pc for $60.  Other items include bakeware and a French press gift set.  Target also seems to be clearancing summer dresses and tank tops – and remember, Daily Deals always SHIP FREE!
