Since I was heading over to Target for the free flip flops anyway, I took a few inserts with me. Target has Banana Boat products with a buy two get a $5 gift card. I bought two in each transaction, used the $3/2 coupon from the 5/19 rp, paid $10.38 (for the self-tanning mist) and got back $5 for each set of two. Works out to $2.69 plus high tax. Use the $5 gift card from the previous transaction to bring down subsequent ones.  Not too shabby…

Target will have flips-flops on sale starting this Sunday, May 19th for $2. Use this for freebies!   Expiration date is 5/25, so don’t wait, either to print or redeem!

Had a few more of the Target $3/3 laundry (Bounce) coupons to stack with the P&G ones. The Pro-bug Kefir was a freebie coupon that was rapidly disintegrating after being submerged. I’d hit Jewel earlier in the day, but they didn’t have this product, so I still had the coupon with me.  Luckily the cashier just entered the dollar amount ’cause I really had doubts the coupon would scan. Total for the Bounce, Pro-bug and birthday card for FirstBorn was $1.41. I can live with that, especially since I used a Target gift card to pay.

This week I’ve gotten 18 jars of Barilla pasta sauce and 18 boxes of Bounce to rebuild my stockpile (not counting freebie coupons you probably won’t have).  If you’re just starting out yourself, know that It’s a long road ahead, but doable.

Target calls it a “Rooster Statue with Metal Feathers 20″,” but they can’t fool us!  It’s weatherproof, so proudly place it on your front lawn – only those in the know will snicker.  the rest will scratch their heads – wait, i usually get that anyway… Regular price is $75 but as one of the Target Daily Deals, it’s only $39.99 with FREE shipping.

Acquired a few more of the 4/14 rp inserts with the $3/3 Target laundry coupon which I stacked with the $3/3 mfr coupons from the May P&G. Since I was already there, decided to pick up the 5 ct Zyrtec with the $6 coupon from the 4/28 S (expires 5/5!). Target sells these for $5.29 a pack, so you’re looking at 71¢ overage on each.  Split into two transactions of four each (Target like coupon limit) and plastic food storage bags to start replacing everything that was contaminated.
