Really wanted Pantene, but this Target had prices $1-2 higher than other stores, and that totally queers the deal, kwim?  Instead I picked up 8 of the L’Oreal, in two transactions (yes, only 3 are required for the gift card, but buying four still makes sense).  Also cruised by the frozen clearance section and basically cleared out their organic section – the ravioli pictured is $1.98 while lots of veggies were less.

A side note here:  Make sure you always have someone scan items to see if they’re part of the gift card promotion – most of the $3.99 Pantene items were never tagged.  You’ll hear it’s kids pulling off the tags, but those same delinquents never bother with the $6.49 tags…Well, it makes sense for Target to push the ones they make more money on, but it doesn’t mean we have to pad the bottom line for them!

Since we have three current and different Pantene coupons, it makes for some nice Target shopping! Here are twelve cans of – mostly – hairspray and three tubes of L’Oreal treatment products. Subtotal $26.85 after coupons — got back $25 in gift cards.  Obviously I rolled gift cards from prior transactions, so I didn’t really shell out the $$.

BOGO (up to $4.29) any Horizon Snack Crackers.  Stack with this $1 Target Horizon cracker coupon and the current 10% Cartwheel and you should pay about 19¢ a box if the coupon scans the full $4.29!  Weirdly enough though, the first coupon scanned at $3.49 and the second $4.29!  The L’Oreal treatments were $3.99, used the $3 coupons from 4/12 rp and got a $5 gift card – sweet overage!

 Regularly priced at $239.99, this is also on sale on Amazon and BRU for the same price without the gift card deal!  Pay even less with your REDcard.

  Quite a few 4moms products have the $25 gift card promotion, but not all.

Wanted a few more tubes of 3D Crest so stopped at another Targer – – no gift card. I had a receipt from yesterday in my purse showing the same items, so they were kind enough to generate a gift card, but I’d say this deal is dead since I tried it two times on the off-chance there was a glitch. Supervisor also punched in the number and the system did not show that UPC as part of any promotion.

Shelf tags still show the Pantene gel at $2.48, but it looks like Chicagoland is out!  I’ve been grabbing $3.99 hair sprays and detanglers, but make sure you have someone with a gun scan the UPC to make sure that product will generate the $5 gift card.

Stopped in the Lombard Target since I was driving right by – figured I’d check for Crest and Pantene. PITA texted me (gotta love kids and modern technology!) that there were clearance stickers on Quorn products! And not only that, they all had $1 stickers! So you get $1.88 clearance prices less the $1 peelies for some very, very cheap breakfast fare.  The M&Ms were all 50% off plus a Cartwheel offer, but frankly, the amounts are so small it’s not that big a deal!  And the coffee was 50% off so I decided to try this flavor.  Archer Farms is usually good coffee, although they do have a few flavors that sound majorly disgusting…

Note that most of the Pantene stuff isn’t tagged, so you really have to grab someone with the gun to scan before you get up to the register and get the bad news.  I picked up six products, using the two different $2 coupons – Crest is the same deal as earlier in the week (remember that only the 5.5 oz Radiant Mint flavor works).
