Free ream of paper @ Staples this week – or $2/5

s0273288_sc7Staples is giving us one free ream of Staples paper this week.  I always link to the main coupon page in case you need other items – the $30 off a $50 purchase of boxes, tape and bubble wrap looks promising...if I could only come up with tape coupons, that is.

There is also a coupon for $2 for a 5-ream case after coupon and rebate if you’re running low.

Wags & Staples & flea markets

Photo.jpg Actually spent most of the day at a Swap a Rama with PITA and friends.  Haven’t been to one in years and had a blast!  But since there’s always time for a deal, ran out to grab a few of the Ban cooling cloths at Walgreens so I could score the extra 5,000 points using the FREE coupon in the 4/13 SS.  Remember, though, that this is all high tax stuff, so your points will end up costing you something after all.  Check for the packs with the MIR peelies, too.

Staples has only the one ream this week – I’ll have to watch my printing!   But train yourself to always complete the online rebate when you get home – it’s literally a minute.

Edit: Not HammerMill, it’s free ream of Staples + a story

My story (meant to lure you into reading the entire post..heheheehehe).  I’ve been accumulating a number of toner cartridges and a few ink cartridges over some time – enough to fill two kitchen bags.  a lot.  Waiting on Staples to go back to the $5 a cartridge, since I got pissed when they reduced it to $2. I mean, really?  I would get the same value for both a puny ink cartridge as a big toner cartridge?  Then price them accordingly!

But I digress.  So I finally drag over both bags to Staples, only to learn that not only do they no longer have that $2  trade-in credit, NOW you get the credit only if you buy a cartridge $30+ (and it’s limit two, I believe)!  This is not even Barbie math, folks.  Were I to get the prior deal of $2 times the 10 limit, I’d still be paying almost $20 more than the HP cartridge I buy at ComboInk (Staples is $68.99 & ComboInk is $27.99).   And ComboInk is still running their 15% off promotion, too.  Their one year guarantee doesn’t hurt, either (although I’ve never had to use it)

Ended up bringing them to Best Buy where I didn’t get squat, but at least they’re being recycled…

Sunday shopping – all food groups included

Photo.jpgPhoto.jpg

First stop was CVS where I’d heard the little $1.19 tubes of Eucerin were working on the “Buy 2 get $5 ecb” promotion.  Both the $1.19 body tube and the $2.99 face lotion produced the $5 ecb.  If you’re at all interested in this deal, I wouldn’t put it off.

Photo.jpg Next stop was Staples.  Then I remembered that they don’t open until noon on Sunday and it wasn’t worth sitting in their parking lot for 15 minutes…so on to Target, where the Target ad (and signs all over the shelves) says Buy $40 in pet foods, etc. (but not treats) and get $10 off. So the best deals (price plus coupon value) I could come up with were these $2.00 off one Purina ONE beyOnd dog food and $2.00 off one Purina ONE beyOnd cat food.  Since Target has the limit four identical coupons policy, I used four dog and two cat food coupons and stacked the six bags with the $10 Target coupon, then paid with my REDcard.  I think the dog food was $6.89 and the cat food slightly more.  Wanted to grab some free Vidal Sassoon shampoo using the Family Dollar ad, but Target only carried the jumbo sizes.  However, I was able to score a few of these $1 Target coupon for L’Oreal products that don’t expire until 12/31/14.

Then on to Walmart where I price matched the Vidal Sassoon shampoo/conditioner with the Family Dollar ad for $2, then used the $2 coupons from the March P&G.  Since P&G has that stupid Limit 4 per household per day wording, you’ll either have to stop at both WM and Family Dollar all week or work it out some other way, depending on how many hundreds of coupons you might have…

Next up was PetSmart, but only for PurinaPro ’cause those $8 printables were expiring in a couple of days and I was able to use a 10% off coupon with them.  Do I need more pet food?  Heck no, but the dates are into 2015 and they’re sealed in heavy plastic.  Still ended up spending about $50 for 8 bags.  Boo!

Back to Staples where I was told that not only was the Naperville store out of the 5-ream cases of Staples brand copy paper, two other local stores were, too! Hey, guys, I’m sorry I’ve been stocking up so hard and heavy (not really). Will stop back later in the week.
