ShopSanity
I posted about this ShopSanity site earlier in the month, but received an updated email from them with additional information, so figured it was time for a reposting (which is not even a word).
Did you know that most retailers offer a one-time refund if they mark down something you’ve already purchased? Wouldn’t it be great if you could get free alerts automatically when you’re due for a price adjustment?
Now you can! Gmail and Yahoo Mail users can sign up for FREE with ShopSanity and they’ll send you alerts when retailers like Kohls, Macy’s, Gap, and Nordstrom owe you money. Recent ShopSanity alerts have helped users save $10 at Old Navy, $56 at Nordstroms, $16 at Hanna Andersson, and $5 at WalMart. They send alerts for the receipts in your email, so make sure to shop online or get e-receipts and use that email account to sign up.
Stop leaving money on the table and sign up for ShopSanity now! ShopSanity does other great stuff too, like keeping all your receipts organized in one place and alerting you to shipping changes, and it’s all free. Sign up now!
Any of your signed up with them? Comments, please. Also, if you started applying and stopped for any reason, those comments, too.
RentTheRunway – this is cool!
Okay, you got me: I am not a fashionista, or even remotely close to one. There is a reason this site is called deranged.me you know. So when I got this email for RentTheRunway I was, shall we kindly say, skeptical. But I clicked on it and was majorly impressed. I’m sure most of you have special occasions where people actually send invitations requesting your presence…right? Buying a fancy-pants dress – even from a resale shop – is costly. And let’s face it, where are you gonna wear it next?
Enter RentTheRunway, where you sign up FOR FREE (none of those expensive/exclusive membership places) and rent a designer dress for four or eight days. They even send the dress in a back up size – just in case. I checked out some of the dresses (in the name of research and dedication to my readers ) and listened to testimonials and I’m majorly impressed. This is something that makes total sense to me. If I can spend $150 for a $5000 dress that will blow the socks off the competition (take that, Bridezilla!), then it’s worth it. And if I change my mind within 24 hours and haven’t worn the dress, it’s completely free.
Check it out. I think you’ll be impressed. oh, and most of the dresses are less than $150.

This place used to drive me nutz, but then it really wasn’t designed for adults. All the running, screaming…and the kids were even worse. Seriously, this was always a huge hit with kids for parties: A safe, controlled environment where parents could sit down with a beer and relax until the Rat came out. FirstBorn was terrified of Chuck E. and probably is to this day (I’m not scared of him, mom, he just creeps me out). On the other hand, PITA (while still a Speedy Gonzalez toddler) climbed up on the stage during a performance.
AutoPriceFinder – new free service
Just got an email for AutoPriceFinder, a new site that searches thousands of dealers to find the best deals on the car(s) you pick and in the area you select. I tried this and went as far as I could without entering my email and phone, ’cause I don’t want/need any people wasting their time on me. My feeling is that it’s just one more tool to use if you’re thinking about getting a new or used car in the next month or two (or even dreaming about one). It’s free, so you won’t be on the hook for anything and they don’t ask for any credit info.
