Final Monopoly Shopping + clearance

Well, last day, so I loaded up the cart with what was in stock, then found Jewel was using Hunts tomato sauce and Bayer aspirin as substitutes for the Signature Brands.  The Libby’s vegetable pouches were all 68¢ – I only took the mixed ones to try, but they also had sliced carrots and peas.  Lots and lots and lots of gravy mixes.  Remember, I’ve already redeemed quite a few of these Freebies (well, only ’cause the binder clips were all too small).

Clearance Cart: The Bragg Coconut Liquid Aminos were only a buck, while I broke the bank on the Macadamia nuts and $1.99 tamales.  While the tamales aren’t as tasty as the ones the old man sells on 26th Street, they’re pretty decent with a nice salsa on top.  Cover Girl nail polish was only a buck, so I’ll post-redeem with whatever coupons I have remaining.  Used my two remaining $5 gift cards, but still had to fork over $15.  Such is life for poor people.

The Ice Mountain was free with that coupon offer I posted earlier this month.

Last day for Monopoly coupons

And boy will I be glad to leave this pile behind!  All I need to do today is pick up another zillion packets of gravy, a few hot dog buns…things like that.  Maybe I’ll even use my two $5 gift cards (got a total of 3).  It was a blast in the beginning, but even PITA gave up on updating the Monopoly board after a few weeks.

2 MyMixx Freebies at Jewel!

We have two MyMixx Freebies this week: Kellogg’s® Froot Loops® 10 oz box and 600 ml Eternal Naturally Alkaline Spring Water. Add these paperless coupons to your Jewel MyMixx account by Sunday, 5/27 and redeem by Monday, 5/28.

Word of the Day Freebie at Jewel

As I sneak-posted on Monday, here’s the Word of the Day freebie at Jewel tomorrow.  Tell your cashier “Say Cheese” tomorrow only and get one of the three varieties of Cheese Fusions.  You do not need a MyMixx account to grab this freebie.

I’m a Rice Pudding Junkie

I’ll admit it, but that doesn’t mean I don’t wanna pay full price!  shudder.  Right now it’s on sale at Jewel 2/$6, so I added the Checkout 51 rebate (limit 3 for the two package versions I bought) at 75¢ each and I’ll post-redeem the 75¢ coupons from 5/13 S.  Brings the cost down to $1.50 a pack.

Shampoo shopping at Jewel

Right now Suave is on an instant savings promotion at Jewel:  Buy 4 and get $2 off instantly; they’re also on sale for $1.99.  So buying the Suave Professional and Men’s 2-in-1 products, then using the BOGO coupon from 5/13 S plus the $1 Suave Professional coupon in the same issue (next page) means you’ll pay very little for shampoos and conditioners this week!  Since the scanned sale price of the shampoo is $1.99, that’s what comes off in addition to the instant savings.

Sneak Peak for 5/25 Word of the Day

Facebook Freebie for May 25th is your choice of three varieties of Cheese Fusion. Cheese Fusion features bites of Monterey jack, pepper jack or mild cheddar cheese in flavors including smoked chipotle, buffalo and sour cream and onion.  “SAY CHEESE” at the register and your cheese is free.  The habañero pictured isn’t part of the deal but I couldn’t find a picture that didn’t include it!

Word of the Day for May 18th

Stop in on May 18th! WHY!? We have another Word of the Day offer for our customers! Try our new frozen 505 Southwestern Mexi Pizza or Mexi Pizza Shredded Beef FOR FREE! Just say the trigger words “Mexi Pizza” at the register to redeem. (Valid 1 per customer on 5/18 only). #WordoftheDay

Frankly, they don’t look so hot to me, but FirstBorn will undoubtedly be licking his lips.

Jewel Clearance Cart Bingo!

Without coupons (except for a Monopoly & reduced product coupon) the subtotal was $79.46.  After I got home and used my trusty scissors, I had $73 in clipped coupons and a $2.50 rebate on hair color from Ibotta.  The only clearance items I didn’t have coupons for were the Febreze duos, but since all the P&G coupons have been BOGOs and the product was only 50¢, I’m not gonna lose any sleep over it.  That doesn’t mean I’ll toss the receipt before I get that 50¢ you understand!  I got milk, toilet paper, potatoes, napkins and six packages of deli refrigerated egg rolls.  Plus other stuff I’ve already put away.
