Hola! for cheap Downy @ Jewel

UntitledWell, Jewel is at it once again – – the old different ads for different markets – – in this case giving Hispanic stores this $1.99 deal on Gain and Downy, while the also-rans get to pay $3.49 for Downy and $2.99 for Gain.  This Sunday’s P&G June insert will have $3/3 and $1 coupons for the Downy…so your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to track down the closest Hispanic Jewel and grab a paper ad.  Your neighborhood store will honor that price.  Can’t decide if a store is Hispanic or not?  Click here and use the store locator.  Click on page 6, right above the Stock your Bullpen banner to see the deal.

Ronzoni Ancient Grains @ Jewel

c057a79c-606c-45e9-986a-ed75b8f887d4Jewel has Ronzoni Healthy Harvest Ancient Grains at $1.79 each on a BOGO through 5/31 plus there’s a blinkie right in front!  Buy two and pay 24¢ a box.  Note that the coupon reads Limit one per transaction, so ymmv (but it scans without issue).

Free Gummy Bears & Cheap Noodles @ Jewel

2ff2a980-e16d-4c95-be83-a104daa8d11d

Through May 31st, Jewel has the Black Forest Gummy Bears and Worms as part of a 10/$10 sale.  Use the $1 coupon in 5/1S and pay tax!  You can still use it at Walgreens this week on the 99¢ organic variety ones, but it’s always good to have a back-up plan!  Coupon does not specify organic and scans fine.

I prefer FREE, but if you’re running low, this is a pretty good stock-up price:  Manuchan Noodle Bowls are BOGO this week, so buy two for $1.25 and use the $1 coupon in 4/24S – 12½¢ a bowl isn’t the worst price you can pay!

Free Beans & Skinny Pop at Jewel

d5e3339f-43b3-43dc-a349-6608e1289683

Using the $1 sale price on Cocina Latina beans and the $1 coupon in non-Tribune papers (I’ve seen them in Hoy and Deals Delivered so far), I hit up to $45 with two bags of Skinny Pop…my current drug of choice.  OOP was 79¢ for each transaction.

The Cocina Latina beans are really tasty – I tried them when they first came out, but now they’ve expanded the line.

Another $5/$50 Jewel coupon in 5/1 Tribune

dee51c9f-6578-42c1-b01c-f71351ce5952

The front page of the May 1 Chicago Tribune once again has a $5/$50 coupon, only valid 5/1-3.  At least last week I found something to use it on…well, let’s just say the truck backed up for Garnier…

This week I am poleaxed.

Overage is a many-splendored thing

When you can’t buy the items you want for the prices you want to pay, overage is a very handy way to shop.  Jewel with the $5/$50 and a variety of Garnier and Fructis coupons – first load.  A few boxes of Puffs, 3-pks of sponges and Hefty gallon freezer bags.  And a whole lot more losing Monopoly tickets…

$5/$50 in Sunday Chicago Tribune

d74bc864-73e0-4f08-a239-6596484d24ccBottom right hand corner of the front page of the Sunday Chicago Tribune is a $5/$50 coupon valid 4/24-26.  I’ve already clipped mine for today’s stock-up on Garnier Whole Blends and Fructis products.  We’re talking decent overage when you combine the instant savings, sale prices and coupons.  I’ll post a few of my transactions later today.

Jewel clearance shopping

Jewel is rebranding heir house brand, so check your clearance cart for deep discounts on Essential Everyday  – they’ve got to dump ’em so the price is certainly right!  The 10 oz jars of sliced olives were only 50¢ and PITA love those, so I grabbed ten, the salsa (they had a couple of varieties) was $1.25, ginger beer was 25¢, organic salads were $3.99 and the port was clearanced at $9.99.  I did not know my Jewel had a clearance wine/spirits section!!!
