The Naked Magicians – pay less on Goldstar
The Naked Magicians are exactly what they sound like: a scintillating evening of magic, jokes and plenty of skin. Following sold-out shows and rave reviews in this country and around the globe, the world’s cheekiest magic show comes to the Broadway Playhouse at Water Tower Place in Chicago, where the pair of illusionists bare it all (everything but the tricks of the trade, that is). The Aussie fellas Christopher Wayne and Mike Tyler showcase illusions, outrageous humor and a touch of mayhem in this adults-only show, bringing a whole new meaning to the phrase “now you see it.” They say good magicians don’t need sleeves; these guys prove that great magicians don’t need pants — or any clothing at all, for that matter. Four performances on Goldstar with $29 tickets (plus fees).
Deep Purple + Alice Cooper + Edgar Winter Band!
Wow, Deep Purple and Alice Cooper and The Edgar Winter Band and Goldstar has tickets starting at only $15 (plus service charge) for this September 6th concert! Get ready to sing your praises to the gods of rock and witness history in the making as Deep Purple, Alice Cooper and special guest The Edgar Winter Band take the stage of the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre. Together with Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath, pioneering rock band Deep Purple made up what came to be known as the “unholy trinity of British hard rock and heavy metal” in the early to mid-’70s, with chart-topping hits on both sides of the pond like “Smoke on the Water,” “Highway Star,” “Space Truckin'” and “Hush.” Their latest album, Infinite, which is set for a 2017 spring release, will feature 10 all-new tracks inspired by the raw, boundary-pushing spirit of the ’70s. A larger-than-life performer and master showman, Cooper combines hot heavy metal melodies (“School’s Out,” “I’m Eighteen”) with true theatricality. His energetic stage shows often incorporate horror-movie imagery, stage blood and more in a feast of the macabre. See these legendary rockers perform a mix of old favorites and new hits at this epic concert.
