Giveaway – TGIF coupons – update

I just saw a $1 TGIF on coupons.com.  HURRY AND PRINT THIS NOW!!!!!  It was under Food in zip code 60532 (although it’s probably showing on most zips).

So far I’ve clipped 270 of the $1 TGIF coupons – aaaaie!  So now it’s time to let you all share in my bounty:  The Goddess will give sets of 20 coupons each to seven names selected with our friend, the Random Number Generator.  Why only seven?  Glad you asked.  I’ve decided to put three stacks of coupons up for any of you able/willing to pick them up at the Lisle Jewel.  Why this decision?  I’m rapidly running out of stamps and I want to help out this Jewel.  And stop with the questions already!

The Lisle Jewel got a heads-up about the best products for the Thursday sale and they will be stocking heavily the following items:  TGIF single entree pouches and boxes; Green Giant canned vegetables and Dole pineapple.  Just learned (thanks Rachel) that the upcoming inserts will contain a .50/2 Dole pineapple, so between the coupons and the OYNO cat we’re talking about .50 a can!  These three items alone are worth a trip to a store where they treat you like your coupons are valuable – – and they will have stock.

End of commercial rant.  First three willing to pick up at Jewel get envelopes deposited with customer service.  End of giveaway is Thursday at 10 am.  Coupons will be mailed out that day (or as soon as you send me addys).  Plenty of time to hit the stores before the Jillites get out there Sunday or Monday.

WhoNu? WeNu! coupon winners

Yeah, I’m a little bit early cause I don’t like the sound of the thunder coming up fast (MUM would be shocked!), but I’ve decided not to do the random number thingie and instead all of you who commented will be getting a set of five coupons.  oh, my poor aching clipping hand.

Soooooo, email me your addys at the contact tab on top NOT ON A PUBLIC FORUM unless you are so lost to decency that it doesn’t matter.  which works for me, actually.  I’ll clip and start sending them out tomorrow.  AND please let me know if any of you want the envelopes left at the Jewel customer service desk (they are real sweethearts there).

Giveaway – $1 WhoNu coupons

The two people who get to pick up at Jewel in Lisle were already contacted:  Joe and Kim.  Congratulations and remember me at Christmas.

The 8/28 S had $1 coupons for WhoNu cookies – apparently healthy alternatives to Oreos. They are on sale at Jewel for $2/4 through November 6, so a buck a package. The 8/28 coupon expires tomorrow, the 23rd, so I’m giving out two sets of five to the first two people to ask. I’m only going to leave these at the customer service desk at the Lisle Jewel, so unless you plan to stop in, don’t ask for them.  Remember, that even if you buy them before, you can return with the expired coupon within 60 days

See the big stack of inserts behind the cookies?  That’s tomorrow’s Smart Source, which happens to contain another $1 coupon….so the Goddess is holding a giveaway for 20 readers, who will each receive a set of 5 coupons.  Cool beans, huh?  Comment here before Tuesday 9 pm and the Magic Random Generator will choose 20 names.

In the interest of science, PITA and I stopped at Jewel and bought four boxes – one of each variety – for a taste test.  We opened all four and had the Jewel staff taste test and asked for comments.  The winner by far was the Oreo-lookalike (which is why I bought two boxes).  Couple of people thought the vanilla ones had a slight aftertaste (I agree, but it wasn’t unpleasant to me) – I thought the CC crispy ones were nasty.  I don’t like chewy, so didn’t even try them.  PITA thought the crispy CC ones were good – didn’t like the chewy ones as much.   However, one Jewel person commented that they bought the Shoppers Value and they were nastyquel surprise…

10/2 Inserts giveaway

Okay, I give up here.  I’ve given the second set of winners an extra hour to contact me, but nada.  So here’s my final offer:  The first two people who comment on this post and agree to pick up the envelopes (or plastic bag, or whatever, okay?) at the Lisle Jewel by Sunday evening will get ’em.  I can’t ask Jewel to hold onto things for long periods of time and these are big piles, so if you don’t think you can get there, please don’t comment.  Jewel does enough as it is for couponers.

Two new winners in inserts giveaway

Hey, I gave the two other winners way more than enough time, so here’s my new picks (using the random number generator) for the other two sets of inserts:  Mary (Pick ME!! Pick ME!!!!! Pick Me!!! over and over in three lines) and josiegm.

You each have until 10 am tomorrow to send me your info at the contact tab on top.  Kim B., I took your giant envelope to the post office.  Since it’s Media Mail (which was still over four bucks!), it could be about a week…but there’s some sweet coupon deals there.

Insert Giveaway – two of the winners have not contacted me!

Kim B is the only winner whose envelope is packed – neither Laura nor Maria A. have been in touch.  Just ’cause I’m a sucker, I’m giving them until 6 pm this evening, then we pull two more names.

Just ’cause I’m a totally awesome Goddess, I’ve decided to pick three winners – yes, that’s right, three of you will enjoy the bounty of many wonderous coupons.

The winners are:  Kim B. (who could definitely use the coupons she missed out on); Laura (who didn’t have money for the paper) and Maria A. (awesome giveaway!!!!!).  Make sure to contact me with your addys before 10 am tomorrow or you snooze, you lose…

And we have yet more coupons to distribute!

Great for changing diapers

Who’d a thunk it?  Goddess has decided to dump a few more bundles into the deserving laps of her readers.  She therefore proclaims:  The following coupon bundles will be awarded to random number generator chosen people on Friday at 6 pm:

1.  10 $1 Degree coupons to be used for the Ultra “Spend $10 Get $5 OYNO” promo.  Since the Degree is a buck each, you are looking at FREE cash.  Note that even though the coupons expired 9/25, ULTRA allows coupons expired back 30 days.  TWO sets of ten coupons each.

2.  10 $1/2 Extra gum (any flavors) to be stacked with the Target $1/2 for FREE GUM – TWO sets of ten coupons each.

3. 5 $1 Tazo mfr coupons to be stacked with the $1 Target coupon (for .79 Tazo tea).  TWO sets of five coupons each.

4.  10 $3/2 NIVEA lip care coupons.  Take these over to Walmart and have them price match the $1 price in the new Dominicks ad – not only will you get them free, but there’s a buck in overage for each coupons.  Goddess is giving you $10 in Bank Money!  And let’s face it, when was the last time you saw Nivea at Dominicks, rain check or not?  I remember chasing my tail for them last year … TWO sets of 10 coupons each

Now you can enter for all of them or only one or two – your choice when you comment.

Ben & Jerry’s Spring Break Giveaway

The banner pretty much says it all.  Since October is Fair Trade Month, Ben & Jerry are giving away a trip to the Dominican Republic for Spring Break (or just a beach jaunt if you’re as old as dirt). Trip includes: a visit to a fair trade cooperative, air fare, hotel accommodations and ground transportation.

10/2 Inserts giveaway

Moses only shops where they double...

Saying Jesus has really blessed me with inserts this week is kinda like saying Dolly Parton has a rack:  Some things just have to be seen to be believed.

Two winners will each receive a honkin’ big package containing the following:

10 of the General Mills inserts
10 October P&G (with the wonderful $8/2 CoverGirl coupon)
10 of the 10/2 Red Plum (Chicago Red Eye edition)
10 of the 10/2 Smart Source (Chicago Red Eye edition)
10 of the 10/2 Smart Source (Chicago Select Edition)
10 of the Jewel coupon booklet from 10/2
10 of the Moments to Save insert
03 of the Hasbro insert

The two Smart Source inserts have the same cover, but contain different coupons. The Red Eye insert contains the .50 Frigo cheese coupon – so we’re talking lots of overage at Walmart between the CG and Frigo coupons.
The ONLY reason I can afford the postage for this is due to the continued kindness of my readers – I get postage mailed to me, dropped off at the Lisle Jewel, etc.  Thanks so much for your help.

Oh, forgot this tiny detail:  Entries will be accepted until Wednesday 6 pm.  The two winners will have until Thursday 10 am to send their addys to the contact tab on top.  I will then take the envelopes directly to the post office so you can start your clipping.  If a winner hasn’t contacted me by Thursday 10 am, I will select another name.

Lisle Library tonight

Don’t forget tonight’s the night for the Lisle Library coupon clipping meet about 6:15.  Not only will I be bringing a large stack of the inserts with the Hershey coupon, I’m handing out about 50 or so of the GM inserts and an additional five or six sets of the 20 gum coupons!  wow.

How about meeting on Thursday evening at 6:30 at the Lisle Public Library?  The rush hour driving should be slacking off by then.  The sooner you get to clipping, the sooner you can rush out and get your chocolate high.  Let me know who among you doesn’t drive, etc. and maybe we can arrange something.

Just realized that I have maybe 100 of the Hershey coupons.  Trouble is they’re still attached to the 8/28 insert and stubbornly refuse to jump out without scissor-manipulation.  In other words, I would be willing to meet somewhere with the Stack (you bring the scissors) in the couple of days.  Let me know who is willing.  I know I could use one of the “quiet” rooms at the Lisle Public Library; they have lots of parking.  If this is doable for any of you, please comment as quickly as possible and we’ll set it up.  One good thing is that the expiration date is in October, so plenty of time for even CVS to restock!  There are also five or six CVS stores within a few miles of Lisle if you want to run the deal locally.

Let me know – I’m getting carpal tunnel from clipping.
