Okay, now that I got Mariposa’s attention (go change your britches, girl), I’ll continue. As you know, last Sunday’s SS had a $4/1 coupon for Lumene products, sold at both CVS and Walgreens. The CVS deal worked out best when you bought the five .5 jars of cream because you paid tax and earned $5 in ecbs. After that, though, it’s just free. Still a fantastic deal on a relatively expensive skin care product (for drugstores). Only problem is that CVS never has sufficient stock and they only carry the two types and Wags only sells the .5 jars online…so naturally I placed a call to Wheaton…

And found out that Lumene makes all four of their product lines available in the .5 jars. So Terry/Steve have calls in to the company’s sales rep to see what kind of quantity they can get delivered (Lumene warehouse is well-stocked). If you have any interest at all in this great deal, please give them a call and let them know as an informal basis for how many they should order. I checked and CouponDede has these at .40 each with no limits. So, buy 12 coupons for $4.80 and postage and get 6 ounces of product. Since the usual jar is 1.7 oz and retails for about $20…you can see the savings…

Anybody know anything about this Kabongo site? Says it’s free reading and brain-boosting games (with no subscription required) for kids 4-7. Which would be a good thing, right? You can either set up a new account with them or just log on using your Facebook ID.

National Consumer Panel

The Nielson people run a National Consumer Panel where you are sent online surveys (short) to complete and paid with points redeemable for various gifts and gift cards. They only accept new panel members at various times of the year, so give it a try.

I can vouch for this organization, as I’ve been a member for a number of years. I am also part of their team of scanners, which means I scan all products purchased for home use; I enter the store, amount and prices paid (with coupons, etc.).

MUM says I only do this to mess up their numbers – she might be right. hehehehe

Good lord! Go away for an hour and the coupon gates of hell are broken wide open! Here’s a SmartSource coupon for $2/1 any Rayovac product, which mean, as we all know: FREE BATTERIES! Okay, I won’t go out on a limb and say these are the most powerful ones I’ve ever used (and certainly not the brand that this woman is thrilled about!), but for remotes and devices that don’t require a lot of power, they rock. Oh, and they’re free. you do understand the concept of FREE, don’t you? GONE

Free Shell Gas -update

See the pretty little free gas cards that came in today’s mail? This was the fantastic deal from May 28, so three weeks from order to delivery. So first we have to use up the .15/gallon Mobil credits…then the Shell…hard to keep all the gas deals separate

(and not the gas-x type, either). Discover has a “hot offer” on the Rewards page for Shell gas: Buy $20 gift card and get $40 worth of gas. I just did this and got four of the cards, so $80 worth of free gas. Well, actually, it’s completely free since it’s from using the Discover card to buy everything! And, considering FIRSTBORN’S tuition bill that just appeared, I’m gonna be earning some whopper rewards soon…
