FREE Corner Bakery Turn the Corner coupon (via email) when you Like them and “Take the Pledge.”   Note, you must complete a 50 word minimum statement about what you plan to do in 2012.  And “Eat Less Cake” is already taken…

Don’t forget to check back periodically, as I add to this daily post as new deals appear.  Occasionally I even remember to bump it up!

LA Times subscription deal

Saw this posted earlier on SD:  “Sign up for EZ Pay for the LA Times using offer code “AC” by calling 1-800-252-9141 and they will give you a $10 Target Gift Card (received in 4-6 weeks).  You should be able to use this with the $10/year subscription, because that’s what they are billing me for.  Use either a credit card or checking account for the EZ pay.”

The LA Times is a Tribune paper, which means you should deal with the same jamokes when you call customer service.  However, this is an excellent deal if it works.

Mars Be on the Field Superbowl game

Enter the Mars candy company’s Be on the Field game to win various Superbowl-related prizes, including tickets to the game and celebration afterward.  You need to enter the UPC code from most of the candy line – and since I always have a few Snickers laying around…

Says you can enter up to five times per day, but I just tried using the same UPC and it said it was already used, so my guess is you’d need a bunch of different UPCs per day.

Saturday freebies

FREE t-shirt from JERZEES.  If you have a business name, that it.  I just entered one for deranged.me.  They don’t ask for much info, so that’s good, but then they didn’t ask for size info, either, which is bad (if I get a Chuckie-size tee, I’ll be pissed).

FREE baby calendar from Hyland’s (those homeopathic remedy people).

FREE Kelly-Moore paint color sample.  maybe if you get enough you can paint at least a wall or two?

FREE portrait of Christ after completing a short survey for Crystal Cathedral so they can help to fulfill your spiritual needs.  okay, then.  well, it’s free. saw these on mojosavings

Free Skinny Cow at CVS – update

The Naperville CVS sells the 6-ct boxes of Skinny Cow for $4.49, so you’ll pay $1.01 plus tax for two boxes.

CVS has the 6 ct boxes of Skinny Cow chocolates BOGO starting Sunday the 1st.  Here’s a link to a BOGO coupon hidden deep within the Walmart site.  When you click the link you see the Get Nestle coupons tab at the top right hand.  Click and you’ll see the all the coupons.  Note that you can only print two coupons, even though they show two products (which I thought would mean four prints – sweet – but it was not to be).

The Naperville CVS will take this coupon as your payment for the 1st box and the second is obviously free.  They have set a limit of two coupons per card, or four boxes. The coupons have a value of up to $3.48; I don’t know what CVS charges, so you might have to pay a little something.

Enjoy!

Friday freebies

Free sample of Rachel Ray’s Nutrish dog food.  Don’t know if this is a new offer.  Like the dog and her knives, not her.

Free sample of Gas-X thin strips.  Comes with a coupon towards future purchase – don’t know the value.

Thursday freebies

FREE sample of Splenda Essentials is back.  like i need more splenda…

FREE sample of Palmer’s Cocoa Butter lotion for men.  Do the like thing.

LOTS of Kindle freebies on Amazon today.  I usually pick at least one book ’cause it’s a great way to find new authors and/or add to my cookbook collection digitally – takes up less space that way and nothing to dust!

Super Duper Totally Authorized Top Secret Recipes eBook.  Now this guy I now about!  I have his entire book collection and they made it through the last purge!  Todd Wilbur takes food from various restaurants (fast food and sit-down types) and replicates them using regular grocery store products.  And they taste the same!

Yucks!! What is Dad?!?! by Poo Pa sounds pretty funny from the reviews.  It’s about a guy (natch) who has no interest or intention of ever having children — until Poo Ma gives him an ultimatum:  Dad or Divorce.  Very short read, only 88 pages.

Santa Enters the Back Door.  Okay, this one?  Puhleez!  The reviews are trash, the book quotes scream crappy and poorly edited and the cover?  Still laughing as I type. Think I’m gonna take this one just for grins.  At least it’ll make FirstHusband wonder…

Want to check out this video first, click here.

The Gooseberry Patch Chili Cookbook is still free for Kindle on Amazon; check out all the other freebie cookbooks available.  I’ve really gotten attached to my Kindle – it’s not a replacement for print books, but a way to carry all this knowledge in one tiny box.

Cricket phone freebie

Just got an email from a reader who stopped into the Freedom Wireless Cricket cell store in Bolingbrook (on Bolingbrook Drive) and found they were giving away cell phones!  She was told that the corporate stores are having a Buy a phone for $10 and get $10 in minutes promotion, but since this store is a franchise, the owner decided to just give away the phones for free.  The reader is a current Cricket customer, so she was able to swap her older phone for a much nicer Samsung model at no charge!  Note that this was not a smart phone (she doesn’t want one).

So any of you people thinking about getting a phone for your kids from Cricket or maybe have one yourself, it’s something to check out.
