The Magic Coupon Machine is printing out $2 off shampoo, conditioner, etc. store coupons for every card. Pair this with the $3/2 coupon from 6/24 S and the Pantene that’s $6.97 for two for FREE products. I chose the color shampoo and conditioners, but all varieties are on sale. You’ll have to hit up your CVS a couple of days in a row to get enough of the $2 store coupons, but hey! keep scanning and then pick them all up at one time! I paid 49¢ high tax for each set of two.

$5/$20 CVS coupon
The Sunday Tribune (and probably other papers as well) has a full-page ad in the first section, saying that for three days only (24, 25, 26), when you scan your loyalty card at the Magic Coupon Machine, you will get a $5 off any $20 or more purchase.
NOTE: The coupons are only supposed to print out one time per card and expire the next day. In other words, if you scan your card today, that coupon will expire tomorrow. Wait until the 26th and the coupon will expire the 27th. Now, if you are looking to place a special order, depending on when your store gets delivery, this might work very well (obviously every store works differently).
6/24 inserts info and pix
This Sunday’s paper will have two Smart Source, one red plum, one tequila insert page and some coupons in Parade.
Some highlights: BOGO Good n natural bars; $1 Ore Ida Grillers; $2/2 Hellman’s mayonnaise; $1 12-pk or 2/2L Dr. Pepper 10 or any flavor, regular or diet; $3/1 Cafe Escapes K-cup packs any flavor. $3 any Bayer Aspirin 20 ct or higher; $2 any Lubriderm product between 8 oz and 24 oz; $3/2 Pantene products. Note: The 4th of July CVS ad shows most areas getting a $1/2 coupon, so Chicago lucked out this time on Pantene. Use it on the 3 day sale gas card promo! I really like the $3 Bayer coupon – remember that suhweeet 99¢ deal on Bayer Advanced 20 ct on Black Friday?
CVS 7/1-3
CVS will be having a 3-day sale on July 1, 2 and 3 and then a new ad starts that Wednesday. Weird. They’ve brought back the $10 gas card when you spend $30 on specially marked items, so here’s the two biggest deals I see. Both rely on hitting a CVS store on Saturday, after they’ve switched their registers over to Sunday sale prices.
Liquid Tide (and Gain) is once again on sale for $5.97. Use the $1 coupon from that mid-month 5/13 P&G insert. This coupon expires 6/30. Buy five for $29.85, less $5 in coupons and get a $10 gas card. You’re effectively paying $2.97 a bottle. Not as cheap as last week’s deal, but if you didn’t have that extra $5 newspaper coupon…
Pantene shampoo and conditioner is 2/$6.50. Buy 10, use the $3/2 from that same 5/13 insert to pay (after gas card and coupons) 75¢ a bottle. This coupon also expires 6/30. Again, not free, but if you missed the last deal…
Other items pictured either have no coupons or the values are so pitiful you can laugh (or cry). This post should give you sufficient time to either grab the entire 5/13 P&G insert or get the individual coupons you want/need.
CVS baby/infant clearance
Stuff, not the “stuff” that uses it…although we have all been tempted.
CVS is having some major clearance deals on diapers, wipes, formula, etc. These Huggies diapers were all $2.99 (use the $2 from 6/17 S), Similac Sensitive was $2.74, Pedialyte was a buck something. Expiration dates were September and October, 2012. Lots of CVS brand diapers at $1.99. Grab a few and hit the scanner, if you don’t see any clearance shelf tags because some stores may not have placed the tags out (although it’s in the computers).
I was able to use a $5 Beauty Club ecb and another “freebie ecb” to bring the cost down to $1.29 (subtotal was 32¢).
CVS 6/16-17 overlap sale
Works beautifully! Going back now for John Frieda for 2/$10. Changing America’s hair color – one head at a time…https://deranged.me/?p=37095 They have the Tide coupons up front with more coming about 8.
Tide coupons at CVS
I will be leaving about 20 $1 Tide coupons in an envelope at the register at the Naperville CVS if anyone is running this deal – today only! Registers reset about 4 pm, so don’t bother coming in before then (also, the coupons won’t be there). Another reader has donated another 20+ coupons, but I think those will be dropped off even later, maybe about 8 pm.
I wasn’t planning on running this deal at all, but then realized that $2.57, including tax, for liquid Tide is just too good a deal to pass up.
CVS 6/16th
If you have any of those $5/$20 coupons from the Wednesday papers, head over to CVS on Saturday afternoon, after they’ve switched over their registers. Here’s the best of what I see, but obviously you can mix and match:
The Spend $30 in P&G products get $10 in ecbs has a couple of possibilities. I like the liquid Tide because…well, honestly, who doesn’t like Tide? Buy five of them at $5.94 each to hit the “close enough” threshhold of $29.70. Use the $1 coupon from the 5/13 P&G mid-month insert and the $5/$20 from the paper. Right now you are at $19.70 plus high tax of approximately $2.15, so $21.85 less the $10 in ecbs. $12.85/5 = $2.57 each.
Clairol nice ‘n easy is $5.99. Buy five for $29.95. Use the $2 coupon from the same 5/13 mid-month P&G insert and the $5/$20 from the paper to drop your subtotal down to $14.95 plus high tax and get back $10 ecbs for an OOP of about a buck a box.
Pepsi products (Mountain Dew) will be on sale 4/$10. If you buy the four for $15, you get $5 in ecbs. Limit one per card, which means you’d be wasting your $5/$20 coupon by buying eight.
Other stuff, certainly, but nothing as great (to my mind).
and, yes, the picture shows the week of the 24th – – just as a teaser. I’ll get working on it soon, I promise!
CVS for cheap razors (surprised!?)
I had seen an alert somewhere earlier this week that the Gillette Fusion Proglide Styler razors, normally marked at $19.99, were ringing up at $9.99. Sorry, but without a coupon, there was just no interest. But then the game changed:
The Magic Coupon Machine is spitting out $10 off $30 Gillette shaving products, which I used with the $5 coupon from today’s papers. Each purchase generated a $4 ecb. Sample transaction was to use the $5 and $10 coupons with $14 in ecbs. At this point you are at less than a buck with the rest high tax. Pay and out spits a $4 ecb for buying one razor – unfortunately, it’s a limit of one per household. Including tax, you are probably paying $4 for each razor… Now that’s a deal worth doing, right?
New $5/$20 CVS coupon today!
CVS has this full-page ad on page ten of the front section of Wednesday’s Chicago Tribune; probably has the same ad in the Sun Times and possibly even some local papers. This is important because the Trib costs a buck and the Sun Times is 75¢.
Coupon is valid for FOUR days this time, from today (Wednesday) through Saturday the 16th. Remember, many (if not most) CVS stores set their registers for Sunday sales Saturday afternoon, so check with your local store(s) – could get two week’s worth of deals here.
I’ll start thinking of match-ups later on – if you guys come up with anything, please comment here or email me.
