And if you do NOT know Harry Dresden, please contact me after your eyes adjust to the light – – living under a rock must be hard…

Today’s Amazon Gold Box is for at least the first 7 books of the Dresden Files (they’re up to about 15 now, with the newest coming out in a month or two – yippee!) for $1.99 each on Kindle.  Harry is a Wizard listed in the Chicago Yellow Pages; the only practicing one in country.  He doesn’t do love potions, find missing purses or perform at parties.  And as the series unfolds you (and he) find just how much he can actually do.  Next to Lord Peter Wimsey and Willy Wonka (Gene Wilder, not that toothy freak), he is my fave man.

ignore that SciFi blurb on the cover – they didn’t know what they were doing, it sucked donkey balls and ended mercifully quickly.

I don’t cut pineapples, period – – that’s what I have kids for. But since I’ve started going to the flea market stands and seeing their fruit price, pineapples will definitely be on a weekly fruit list. I paid $1 for a normal-size, ripe pineapple last week (jumbos were $4). This All Ware Stainless Steel Pineapple Easy Slicer and De-Corer is only $3.78 with FREE shipping.  It comes from Hong Kong, so we’re talking two-week shipping, but that’s soon enough since flea market season has just started!  Negative comments are pretty much fixed core diameter is too small for large pineapples.  Hello – just buy the normal-size pineapples!

The Rubbermaid 1880801 42-Piece Easy Find Lid Food Storage Set is only $15.99 as the Amazon Daily Deal!  This price is cheaper than the 24-piece set (by five bucks!) and probably will sell out (well, depending on how many they have).

Dexter: The Complete Series Collection [Blu-ray] is Amazon’s bonus Gold Box Deal, being offered at $105.99 – 70% off for a show that just ended!FYI, the Black Friday price was $220, so this is a killer deal.

Own it all: 8 seasons, exclusive art book and a bonus disc of killer special features…in a collectible slide box inspired by the one Dexter himself uses on the show to catalog his kills! Join your favorite serial killer in all 8 chilling seasons of Showtime’s Emmy® and Golden Globe®-winning series. Blu-ray collection includes 25 discs, including all the episodes and the bonus disc!

Dexter is a crime drama about Dexter Morgan, a man who leads a double life as an incredibly likable forensics expert for the Miami Police Department and an emotionless vigilante serial killer. Taught by his foster father to harness his lust for blood and killing, Dexter lives by his own strict moral code – he only kills murderers who can’t otherwise be brought to justice. Dexter is a killer who grapples with fitting into society while, at the same time, he struggles with his inability to feel emotion. The irony of Dexter’s life is that he works closely as a blood splatter analyst with the very people who hunt his kind – the homicide departments.
