Leave it to a pandemic to swiftly make ideas into reality. Retailers have been envisioning a future where online ordering is the new norm – now, so many people are doing it they can’t keep up. Many stores were just beginning to scale back their 24-hour operations – now, most of them have. And some shoppers have asked for special shopping accommodations for seniors. Here’s the entire article from Coupons in the News. I read this yesterday – and also saw the times and ain’t no groceries worth getting up and dressed at that hour!

Is grocery panic shopping justified?
The dawn of a new week brings with it new changes to our daily life. Depending on where you live, the coronavirus pandemic has prompted businesses ranging from movie theaters to bars, health clubs and sit-down restaurants to shut their doors for the foreseeable future – and if they’re not all closed near you yet, they might be soon.
So could grocery stores be next? Could it be that all that panic buying that everyone’s been doing was justified? Here’s the Coupons in the News article; I’m glad that stores won’t be allowing returns on this stuff ’cause I had nightmares thinking of all those trunks of food coming back to Jewel.

Have you ever been tempted to photocopy a printable coupon, or print additional copies of a coupon that pops up on your computer screen, thinking that just this once you might get away with it? Here’s the Coupons in the News article about why you might just get called out at the register.

criminalize coupon use in New Jersey?
Do you want to redeem a coupon to treat yourself to some ice cream? Or maybe to save some money on a package of cookies or some candy for the kids? Sorry, none of that is legal anymore!
It may sound like some kind of dystopian anti-couponing future. But in a way, it’s already here. Here’s the Coupons in the News article.
Happy Birthday PITA
we commit fraud … but we’re generous
Some who misuse coupons are quick to justify their actions by saying that they’re not doing it out of greed, because they donate many of their items to charity. It may not seem like a convincing argument. But could it be that coupon fraudsters really are as charitable as they claim to be?
A new study suggests they just might be. Here’s the Coupons in the News article.
Another year, another Harry Potter Day
only couponers left after corona virus?

How’s your stockpile looking? As coronavirus fears spread, and nervous shoppers flock to the stores to stock up on supplies, many couponers are actually feeling pretty confident.
“Everyone laughed at my stockpiling of non-perishable foods when Harris Teeter does double coupons,” one Twitter user wrote. “But when the quarantine starts, ya’ll are going to be jealous that I have 20 boxes of pasta, 50 cans of soups and enough hand soap to disinfect the entire block.” Here’s the entire Coupons in the News article, but to me, 20 boxes of pasta doesn’t sound like much of a stockpile …

Quick shout out to PITA on her birthday – small celebration today, but we’re planning major things at the end of the month during COD’s Spring Break. That’s if there’s anything open by then 🙁

There’s a thrill to knowing I can dress as I please and no one will give me a second glance. The weirdest thing is that I walked the halls from tap class to history like this – – and this table is in history. Again, nothing is too odd, so I fit right in.
