Read on a couple of sites that the Woodridge Dominicks had signs up that they weren’t accepting coupons, which is why I saved my favorite store for today. Well, not only did they not have any signs up, I happened to have a few coupons with me and had no difficulty at all in using them! Now I feel bad. This time I only spent about $70 mainly on frozen seafood and Morningstar Farms products for PiTA ($1.75!!!) The scallops were on sale for $7.99 for the 16 ounce bag – $4 a pound for wild-caught! – is definitely a stock-up price. In fact, tomorrow we’ll have a nice dinner of scallops sauteed in butter with capers over a bed of steamed rice.
Woodridge looked like a store from 1950’s Russia – that’s picked over pretty good! Found another Cracker Barrel cheese chub and had a coupon in my pocket; one olive oil on the shelf and it had a $2 hang tag! thankyoujesus!
