First transaction is for one two-pack of the Bounty DuraTowel on sale at Meijer for $3.29. Use the 25¢ P&G coupon from February’s insert and pay the total plus high tax. Out pops a $3 store catalina, courtesy of Meijer and P&G. Since you can’t roll that cat into another P&G deal, you buy three single Meijer basics paper towels. The Meijer I shopped at had them for $1.29. Pay with the first transaction’s $3 cat plus 94¢. Out pops a $3 Meijer store cat for their paper promotion…which you then roll into another Bounty DuraTowel two-pack that’s $3.29. Using the $3 store cat and the 25¢ coupon brings you down to 6¢ – -then out pops another cat.
This is a great way to reduce the horrible high taxes we’d otherwise be paying, since store catalinas reduce the taxable amount. To recap: Each complete set of two transactions costs $1 and earns you one Bounty two-pack and three Meijer basic rolls.

Thanks Goddess! I went yesterday and tried this but did it backwards…go figure.. I did the 3 meijer brand first and it did not kick out the cat. Stopped there went up to customer service and he said there was no cat running for paper products and I must have been mistaken. This at Bolingbrook – Boughton Rd. There were no stickers on the shelves….so being admittedly still green at couponing….I returned the 3 meijer brand and quietly left the store. After reading your post tonight went back up there ready to do battle! No need! Did Bounty first, then Meijer and all went as planned! Don’t know if the sequence mattered don’t care. Walked away with a trunk full of paper towels!!! Thanks again!
